Golden Jungle House — Hotel in Hà Giang

Very lovely cottage I passed by many small hostels and backpackers before I finally got to Golden Jungle House.||||Compared to other hostels, the golden jungle looks spacey. ||Public space is lovely. You can play billiard ||||Breakfast is open from 0600 but no one was awake. What is worse, the main gate was locked when I had to go outside in the early morning. I was locked in and couldn’t go outside to look for breakfast. ||Someone finally woke up but it didn’t look like breakfast was ready to be served anyway. ||If you need to eat breakfast there, you probably talk to the receptionist the previous night. ||I finally stepped out of the property searching for breakfast. Luckily there is one place where bun Cha is served (35,000), I would say 80m away from the hotel on the same side, towards main road.||||Wifi is very weak but it is still ok||||My room was Horse (twin). The bathroom is very old but the shower in another room looks very modern and spotless. ||||There seems to be 5 proper rooms for international tourists. 2 small and 3 big||I don’t know why the single room wouldn’t appear in AGODA when I booked as both rooms were actually available when I stayed there (?_?)||||Other than that, what looks like dorm room for domestic tourists is also onsite but I am not sure if it is really used for...

We stayed two nights before doing the loop at the Golden Jungle House and one day after the loop.||We (my boyfriend and I) booked a private room with our own bathroom and AC.||The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable.||The guys who work there and the boss are awesome! We had a lot of fun just sitting down with them and talking about our homes.||We had the chance to have dinner with them and they made every time very delicious and authentic vietnamese food for us with was also||very reasonable priced.||You can choose different meals for breakfast and there is alway cold beer in the fridge.||The whole atmosphere was very relaxed and cool.||The gave us tips before starting the loop regarding road condition and where to stay.||They also offer scooters, easy riders tours and a car with driver for doing the loop.||||I will definitely stay there again if I have the chance to get back there, I cannot recommend this place enough.||||Thanks fo the great time!||Greetings from Nils and...

The place itself is fine and the location is good for driving the Ha Giang Loop. The room was way smaller than expected, just a mattress in a filthy, noisy room. Found a dead cockroach in the room we booked, been offered a replacement room which was way too expensive compared to other listings in the area. After some negotiation, we found a replacement room which also had a dead cockroach inside, the person showing us the room did not seem to understand the problem of a dead cockroach in their "cleaned" room. Furthermore, 3 dogs are present on the grounds which keep jumping up on you, enter the rooms when the door is open and scratch you. Either train the dogs to behave or don't have them in your rentals, not everyone loves dogs in the same way as...
