Tôi đặt phòng tại khách sạn này qua Booking.com và đã được xác nhận thành công cả trên app lẫn email. Trong phần tin nhắn trên Booking, khách sạn chủ động yêu cầu tôi liên hệ họ qua số điện thoại hiển thị trên Booking bằng Zalo hoặc WhatsApp. Tôi đã nhiều lần nhắn tin ngay trên Booking nhưng không nhận được phản hồi, nên buộc phải liên hệ họ qua hai ứng dụng này.

Trên Zalo/WhatsApp, khách sạn gửi cho tôi ảnh chụp màn hình thông tin đặt phòng của một khách khác, trong đó có cả mã đặt phòng và mã PIN. Khi tôi chỉ cung cấp mã đặt phòng của mình, họ không phản hồi; tôi tiếp tục hỏi nhưng họ vẫn im lặng. Chỉ khi tôi gửi cả mã PIN, họ mới xác nhận rằng phòng của tôi đã được đặt thành công.

Tuy nhiên, sát ngày nhận phòng, khách sạn gọi cho tôi từ một số điện thoại khác và thông báo thẻ tín dụng của tôi “không hợp lệ”, mặc dù tôi vẫn dùng thẻ này thanh toán thành công cho nhiều dịch vụ khác, cả trong nước và quốc tế. Sau đó, đặt phòng của tôi bị hủy trên Booking.com với lý do thẻ không hợp lệ.

Thêm một chi tiết nữa, khách sạn nói rằng số điện thoại tôi dùng để liên hệ họ trước đó “không phải số hotline” của họ, mặc dù đó chính là số hiển thị trên Booking.com. Điều này khiến tôi rất bất ngờ và nghi ngờ về tính minh bạch.

Tôi chia sẻ trải nghiệm này để mọi người cảnh giác khi đặt phòng tại đây, đặc biệt nếu khách sạn yêu cầu cung cấp thông tin nhạy cảm như mã PIN hoặc có sự mập mờ về số điện thoại liên hệ.

I booked a room at [Hotel Name] via Booking.com and received a confirmed reservation both on the app and by email. In the Booking.com message section, the hotel asked me to contact them via the phone number listed on Booking, using Zalo or WhatsApp. I sent several messages through Booking first, but received no response, so I had to reach out to them via those apps.

On Zalo/WhatsApp, the hotel sent me a screenshot showing another guest’s booking details, including their booking number and PIN code. When I provided only my booking number, they didn’t reply. I followed up multiple times but they remained silent. Only after I sent my booking PIN did they confirm that my reservation was successfully secured.

However, just before my check-in date, the hotel called me from a different phone number and informed me that my credit card was “invalid”, even though I had been successfully using the same card for multiple international and domestic payments, including right before their call. Shortly after, my reservation was canceled on Booking.com due to an “invalid card” issue.

Additionally, the hotel claimed that the phone number I originally used to contact them — the same number displayed on Booking.com — was “not their hotline”, which I found very confusing and concerning.

We found this hotel after a bad experience at a nearby hotel. The owner was amazing and really accommodating as I had broken my ankle and she could not do enough for us. We stayed here for just 1 night before our flight back to Colombo. The hotel is small but lovely and quiet.
