It wasn’t fantastic and for the price… I was expecting a little more. Service was outstanding though, the staff are so friendly, helpful and accommodating so I cannot fault that! Lunches and breakfast were good, dinner was very basic and bland and I felt like we were rushed during dinner. Not sure why as the planned “activities” in the evening were quite poor. Squid fishing which is essentially some bait on a stick with not enough room to move and no squid. Also Karaoke in a very hot room with hardly anyone taking part. Not really any atmosphere on the sky deck, no cushions on the chairs to sit comfortably and I just felt like for the price, some form of interactive atmosphere would have been appreciated. Or at least an inviting outdoor space to spend our evening.
Rooms were nice however, spacious and great views. Air con takes a while to work and never fully cools the room down and the fridge is not that cold.
The activities in the morning were Tai Chi, but at 6am I didn’t take part. Then we went on a bamboo boat to a cave for about 45 minutes which was nice but again felt rushed and they wanted us back and ready to check out our rooms at 10.15am.
Kayaking is fun but you can’t really go that far and swimming is just a small area off the boat, which is understandable as it wouldn’t be safe to go too far with many other boats around.
I just felt like for the money paid, overall it could’ve been a better experience. I had a nice time but I probably wouldn’t go again, but if I did I would look elsewhere for better food and...
Read moreDon't trust the positive google or tripadvisor reviews. This cruise needs a refurbishment and a training course on cleanliness - as soon as we walked into our room, the floors were dirty, stains were all over the towels and bedsheets. The shower smelled like sewerage and had hair all over. There was no toilet paper or shower gel when we arrived so had to request for this - this is basic amenities that should have been provided at the start. The activities were quite boring and scripted. The set menu dinner was the worst thing we have eaten in Vietnam by far - so bland and basic. The only saving grace for this cruise was they gave us a room upgrade so the views were nice. The lunch and breakfast was decent but nothing to write home about. No complaints about the service however, the staff was super nice, friendly and helpful and allowed me to use their phone for a call. Overall, quite disappointing that this cruise is rated 5 stars when it should be 3 stars - not the staff fault, but the operator's. If you want a newer cruise/5 star experience do some research and go to...
Read moreThe staff is great but the admins /management are money mongers. We booked the cruise a month in advance. Just 5 days before check-in, (when we had no time left to get refund or cancellation) they asked us to pay 9k inr more(2500,000 VND) for the same room booked earlier as they said there was some fault in the system. Otherwise they would have downgraded the room from presidential suite to a normal room. Further, the presidential suite(their most elite room) had one ac not working, shower head already broken, the patio furniture was already wet due to rains. We were okay with that, and thought this happens given it was rainy season. Then while leaving from our stay they claimed damages for something which was not even damaged(2 chairs for slightly wet, it was raining a little!) however the office claimed we damaged the furniture and need to pay more 5K.
Absolutely disappointed with the office admin/management, it managed to ruin one of vietnam’s beautiful experience for us. Better cruises are available...
