We LOVE The Little Library Villa!!
Me and my partner stayed here for 4 nights and it was absolutely perfect. We arrived early in the morning and were warmly welcomed. We felt at home straight away. We had delicious ice coffees and the host provided leaflets for all the tours and local excursions in Hoi An. The host spoke perfect English and happily answered the endless amount of questions we had. They looked after our bags whilst we explored the town until check in time. We were also allowed to use the downstairs shower, so we didn’t have to wait until our room was available. This was a really lovely offer, especially after being on a hot long bus journey.
The little library provides free bicycles, which was amazing!! The Little Library is in a perfect location! It is in the countryside away from the hustle and bustle from town but close enough that you can easily cycle. It took 10 minutes to cycle into town and we felt very safe doing so. There were plenty of places to park the bikes in town and there was never an issue. The bikes also had baskets, so you can easily carry any shopping on the way back.
On top of this, the little library was not far from the beach and the ride there is beautiful. You pass beautiful rice fields and vegetable patches on the way.
The rooms were super clean and very spacious! The cleanest place we have stayed in Vietnam! They were decorated very nicely and had big wardrobes to store everything away if needed. On top of this the bathroom was also very spacious and the shower was AMAZING. Not only was it nice and hot, it was so powerful and I actually felt clean after. They provide shampoo and shower gel that smells amazing too.
Every detail was perfect including the smell of the fresh bedding, the large bottles of water available in the room and the fridge. I also had my clothes washed whilst staying there. It was a very good price and smelt lovely afterwards. This was ready by the next morning! Super quick!
We rented out a motorbike from the little library, so we could visit My Son and the coconut boats without a tour. The bike was in perfect condition and also a very good price.
Although we did not use the swimming pool, it was very clean and very inviting.
On top of this, they helped me to send a parcel back to the U.K. this was very quick and easy to do. It was also the best price I found in Hoi An! I really appreciated the help with this as my bag was getting too heavy.
I would recommend everyone to stay here! The whole family were very lovely. The husband was very helpful and always smiling:))) The children were adorable. The whole place was amazing and we can’t wait to go...
Read moreGreat Stay in Hoi An! Highly recommend!
I'm a seasoned traveler (US, Europe, New Zealand, SE Asia) and this is my first time to Vietnam. Varied experience when it comes to booking accommodation, had to move around a few times, some places were good others appear ok but when you stay do not deliver on what they say.
The Little Library Villa is in my opinion, a great location for getting a feel of a Vietnam neighborhood and daily life. Old Town is beautiful and busy noisy and touristy and more expensive. Nice to visit but I highly recommend getting out and seeing the rest of Hoi An too.
This Little Lovely Villa is set about a 15-20 minute walk from Old Town, and a short ride to the beach. So you'll be set to go in either direction without feeling too far from either. As a solo traveler I felt safe riding one of the bikes from the Villa even after dark, and this is something to consider, these bikes are nice with working bell and lights for after dark.
The family who run the Villa are wonderful and welcoming. It's a new homestay with lovely breakfast options and a beautiful clean pool to cool off in in the heat of the afternoon, which I will be doing tomorrow. My stay in total was for 8 nights and I could not have enjoyed it more, if my visa were not expiring I would have stayed longer :) Comfy beds, clean bathroom, and the little fridge in the room keeps refreshments nice and cold. I don't normally write reviews but with the varied experience in Vietnam I figure hopefully it will make someone's accommodation search a bit easier. You'll be pleasantly delighted. Thank you for the Lovely stay. Will visit again when I return...hopefully next year :)
I booked directly with the Villa so am not able to leave a review on any of the booking sites. Hope this...
Read moreThe Homestay is okay, but to be honest we do not understand the great reviews here and on Booking. We did not feel particularly welcomed here since we hardly saw anyone of the family and no other guests during our 3 nights stay, but also attempts to make conversation were not really met with a nice reply. The only topic was possible tours and motorbike rentals we could do, but these were over 30% more expensive then at major operators in the town. Also, the breakfast was not very special given the price of 40k, and the swimming pool was empty when we were here.
Unfortunately also the cleanliness was not very good. The shower door had a lot of spots and there was a lot of rust and mold. The worst part was behind the bathroom sink, which looked like it was never cleaned at all.
It's sad because we really enjoy homestays normally, and we've seen some good ones in the 2 months we have been travelling now and we want to support small family businesses. But we have to be honest that this place needs improvement. The price is great but that should not be a reason for these flaws, like a clean bathroom. We did however really enjoy the free bike rental, it really helped us get around! Also, the owner allowed us to check in way earlier then expected in the early morning,...
