Review for twin/double/family room
Nice place to stay, the room itself is clean and great and comfortable. The free bike rental really made the trip as you can just hop on and off your bike when you feel like it and they're well maintained, and you can bike from town to see most attractions in a relaxed way while seeing the countryside.
Some things to note, if you book the family room or twin rooms I don't think you don't have control over which room you'll get, for one night we got a room which says 'nature view' which is completely misleading as you actually have a complete indoor view onto the hallway with other rooms which has a fake green plant giving the 'nature view' I guess. We then changed to the other room for the rest of our stay which had a small but nice window onto the countryside so it was nice enough.
The room, towel, bed, are very clean and comfortable but I realized by the end of my stay the dirty spoons and tea plates are simply being put back after being used, not changed, so I'm not sure if the cups are really being changed every time there's new guests, since it's hard to know when you've had tea. I then checked the glasses in the bathroom and inside the cups I saw some slime or dirt, so I don't think they've been changed in weeks. The bathroom was quite outdated, as well, so it started to feel like a budget hotel. L
The breakfast doesn't always seem fresh, although the pho and fruit were very nice, and not much more stuff that I really wanted to eat.
There's a 3% charge like others have said, which isn't disclosed in the hotel policies online or upon check in, and you find out at the end of your stay before paying, and there's not much you can do as you're in a small village with one or two ATMs that don't have the best reviews. We've paid directly at hotels quite a few times in Vietnam now and this is the only time we were charged anything at all. In this case it's not like there's a major bank that you can pass by to withdraw cash.
The owner and workers are extremely nice and helpful.
Overall a great place to stay to feel like you're visiting the countryside. Is it the best out of mediocre/decent options? maybe, maybe not, I didn't stay...
Read moreHad a 4 night stay at Liberty Hall in one of the Mountain view rooms on the 2nd floor. The view is quite nice with the rice fields and hills in the distance. Just to the right of the hotel is another resort which dries all its clothes on the top floor making a unsightly view. So do not look right. Also do not look down as you will see some trash in the fields just below the window.!! The room is quite small and is done up a little garishly. Bathroom fittings were a little shaky. The biggest plus point of this place is the amazing sunset view from the terrace. Its really nice to sit out there sipping a sundowner. The room and bathroom hygiene standards are good. The road leading to the hotel had a leaking sewage pipe at the entrace so you need to step through some sewage everytime you leave or return. Not the hotels fault but something to look out for. The hotel cycles are really bad and we ended up hiring very good bikes from the shop right next to the laundry on the main road. The motorcycle he offered for hire was also in very poor condition. Did not take it. The sky bar area could do with some maintenance also. The breakfast was very basic. The pho was good and so was the omlette. Asked for a iron to press some clothes and was told they had only one iron so return it immediately!! Next day iron was not available as some one was using it!!! If you get a good rate stay here otherwise...
Read moreMy sister from Sydney, Australia, and I from Jeju, Korea, spent 4 days in Ho Chi Minh and went straight to the train station from Hanoi Airport and came to Ninh Bin. When I saw the accommodation I had steamed here, I decided to spend five nights in Ninh Bin at once as Liberty Hall Tam Coc Hotel. It was an excellent choice. The delicious breakfast started the day happily. It was fun to watch ducks playing in the rice paddies all day on the balcony of the room. It was also good that the swimming pool was indoors because it did not burn in the sun. It was quiet and peaceful because it was a little far from the main street where Tam coc's shops were gathered (although the hotel next door is a little noisy on weekends), and Hang mua and Trangan are also within a reasonable distance, so you can go there by bicycle free of charge from the hotel. My 14-day plan in Ninh Bin was shortened to 6 days for my sister's trip to Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi. So I will come to Ninh Bin again, and I will choose this hotel when I come again. When I leave the hotel, I will think of mangoes hanging in the garden in front of the hotel and ducks playing in the rice paddies, and above all, Viet luu, and a handsome manager Tu who were always kind and smiling, will be the most memorable. Thank you for...
