Have you ever had goat 🐐 meat? Goat meat does not sound strange to me. I've always had goat meat. In fact, one of the best meals of my life happened to be a goat meat stew 🍲 in Cuba 🇨🇺. But I know that for many Europeans 🇪🇺 or North Americans 🇺🇲, eating goat sounds like a weird idea. In Ninh Binh, Vietnam 🇻🇳, it seems that, like duck 🦆, goat 🐐 meat is a local delicacy. So my brother in law took us to a place called Minh Toàn Father Cooking Restaurant, on Tam Cốc Road to try some of their specialties. We shared a couple of dishes of goat and we also tried a few other items like fresh Spring rolls. Everything was good. 👍 Now was it the meal of my life? No, definitely not. We had the chance to eat on the terrace and the place was not too busy so the staff could attend us properly. 👍 We paid VND192K per person for not too much food and a few drinks but no desserts. That probably was our most expensive meal in Vietnam 🇻🇳... but that was still less than €7! 😅

Read moreLongest wait time ever!! Do not recommend. We waited very long for our order to be taken by a waiter, at least 45mins for our drinks and about 1h for our first dish of food. Then, only one main dish was served, the other main dishes did not arrive until 20mins later. The service is super slow. Everyone at the restaurant is waiting for their food and it isn’t even very full, probably half the tables are free. Food, once arrived was disappointed , but everyone had to eat separately and the bill took very long as well. One dish never arrived after they brought out the wrong dish and took it back to the kitchen. The food look very disappointing and definitely does not look like it took 1h to make.
All the other guests at the tables are very mad that they had to wait so long, the mood at the restaurant was...

Our hotel clerk recommended this place and on the second day we came for breakfast, and dears let me tell you I am writing this review after finishing my dinner. Yes! We had come to come back!!!!
In the morning my husband order banh my and I had a Chicken Burger which was just something else. So we came back in the evening after a long day out to see pagodas and we ordered the mutton kabobs, another burger and the pho bo, which was brilliant in itself.
It’s a family business and they are very warm to serve which also makes you feel at home. It is a gem in every aspect, a...
