Jamerik Taco Bar | Homemade Tacos | Gluten Free Available — Restaurant in Ninh Bình Province

The tacos and nachos were very good- fair price and tasted fresh. However the server was extremely rude to my girlfriend. We ordered nachos and even pointed to the menu to help avoid any potential language barriers, however the server didn’t get out of his chair so evidently couldn’t hear what we wanted. When they brought out the food they brought us quesadillas instead of nachos so my girlfriend simply asked if they could be changed to what we actually ordered. He told my partner that we didn’t order nachos (if we thought their was a 1% chance we didn’t we wouldn’t have asked for them to be changed) in a very rude manner prompting her to be visibly upset when she returned to the table. We decided to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume it was a moment of frustration so when he brought out the correct food later we were extremely kind and thanked him however we we’re simply ignored. This was then clear to us it was a choice to be rude to us. So when we paid we did the classic British thing of meeting anger with kindness, to which he passive aggressively placed our change across the bar out of hands reach.

This was our only bad experience with any member of staff in over a month of travelling across South East Asia. Moral of the story- come here for food definitely...

I don't really know where to start with this one! This was an accidental find, we walked past a few times and I'd noticed but not thought anything of it... decided to look at the menu on Google and it caught me eye so we went. This place is INCREDIBLE! The owner is the most amazing guy you could meet, who cares SO MUCH about his food! We initially were only going to get takeaway but he recommended that to enjoy the food it's best we eat it as fresh as possible so we decided to stay. We ordered the Chipotle Chicken Quesedilla, and a strawberry and banana smoothie! Both were absolutely amazing, I'd go as far as saying the quesedilla was the best food I've ever eaten! The owner was taking time to explain all the sauces and salsas with every customer and had a constant smile on his face! This place really made my day and I would fly back to Vietnam just to have it again! You can't miss this one when...

We first went to the Tacobar for the food, and wow it turned out to be absolutely delicious. The quesadillas and the chicken nachos were our favorites: packed with generous toppings and served with plenty of dips on the side.

Then we met Eric, and that’s when the Tacobar became more than just a place to eat it became a warm and welcoming spot we couldn’t get enough of. You can play all kinds of games there, the music is great, and the atmosphere is just fun and relaxed.

But Eric… he truly made our time there special. He’s so kind, always happy to see us, and incredibly open. Nothing was ever too much trouble when we asked for sour cream, he brought us an entire pot. This man genuinely has a heart of gold.

We stayed in Ninh Binh for four days, and we ended up eating there every single one of them. It was just that good. I wish Eric all the very best and truly hope to see him...
