Phu Quoc Bungalow Yến Thành — Hotel in Phú Quốc

This place was fabulously impressive as we walked in at night past the impressive main residence, open cabana, inviting pool and a row of perfectly placed bungalows. We did not want to leave this place and recently we reminisced about a desire to temporarily "live" here for a longer visit. The hosts were absolutely wonderful, friendly and accommodating. They conveniently rented a motorbike to us and also gave us a ride to the airport.

There are a few disappointing things about this place which you may be able to resolve if you enquirer with the hosts. The huge window in the kitchen has no curtains or blinds so at night you have no privacy. The window is so large that you can also see into the living room/bedroom area at night. The kitchen lacked basic utensils such as a simple knife for cutting vegetables. This is unbelievable but there was actually no microwave in this place. I looked through the windows of a few other bungalows and they also did not have a microwave. This is a basic requirement of any overnight stay. When you remove the key from the holder by the front door, it shuts off the power to the entire bungalow. It is common and reasonable that removing the key would shut the power off to the lights, hot water, air conditioner, etc, but it is unthinkable for this to shut down the refrigerator. Because if you decide to stay there for some time and put a lot of food in the refrigerator, it can go bad if you're gone for a long time. Again, it is just a basic requirement to keep the refrigerator running. The gas stove took a very long time to ignite. The igniter was not working properly and was very frustrating. The host came to help and he also had a difficult time.

I got free tea, coffee and water daily. The area is very quiet, there's not even street dogs there. Pool was one of the best I've seen in Asia.
