Pandora Beach Mui Ne Retreat — Hotel in Phan Thiết City

The staff are lovely and the hotel itself seemed decent at first. Good showers, nice pool etc. However, the rooms aren't soundproof. You can hear children screaming from a completely different building.

Also, the electricity kept cutting on and off - which the hotel blamed on the government. Yet, it didn't seem to affect the hotel next to us who were playing obscenely loud music/karaoke well into the night.

The hotel Ca Ty, next to Pandora seems to host lots of 'team-building' weekends for companies. And if you've spent any time in Vietnam you'll know exactly what this entails. Extremely loud karaoke, unnecessarily loud house music and lots of nonsensical screaming into microphones. At times it was so loud it was vibrating through the walls of our hotel room!

Unfortunately, it doesn't matter how nice this hotel is - they have no control over their neighbours and this really ruined the chance of a good night's sleep - which we desperately needed.

We initially paid around 3million VND a night for this privilege. However, after much back-and-forth, the hotel eventually offered to knock 30% off the total bill. I must reiterate, the staff were amazing, and did their best to try and remedy the situation.

I feel somewhat sorry for Pandora as the hotel next door seems like it could become a constant source of contention. However, they do have a duty to warn customers - which they did not.

Infact, if you're booking a place in Mui Ne, make sure to do your due diligence. I've been passing through here about once a year for over a decade and every year the noise pollution i.e. karaoke, just seems to get...

Having stayed for four days, I've witnessed the hotel's service actively evolving. A perfect example is the afternoon snacks. On the first day, it was an unremarkable cake that wasn't very tasty. The next day, it was upgraded to delicious brown sugar cookies. However, they turned soft and stale if left out overnight. By the third day, the hotel had started wrapping them in plastic wrap to preserve freshness. I never gave any feedback on these points, so I'm impressed by how the management gathered these insights. We have a great time here! Beautiful resort and attentive staff. Brand new, the whole property including the pool was really clean. They have a lot beautiful details so there is beauty in every corner. The drink in minibar so cheap. Extra bed is very comfortable, soft, and a lot of pillows...
