LA RIVA Mui Ne beach — Restaurant in Phan Thiết City

The waiter with long hair and glasses seems to know how to work and is friendly - but unfortunately he wasn’t my waiter. My waitress I had was totally unorganized and that’s why everything took long time. I see my ready made pizza on the counter but didn’t get , because she forgot to set up. After set up my pizza was still hot but same as fresh from oven! I asked the waitress in advance how is the size of the pizza because there is no mentioning in menu about that, she said 30cm . But when the pizza arrived I thought by myself that’s never 30 cm. So I measured- it was just 27cm . That’s a huge gape if u know a bit about mathematics, especially as the pizzas here having a big crust . The taste was good, good cheese and pepperoni. The choice of soft drinks is laughable and nothing for kids such as Fanta, 7up or similar. Just coke / coke 0 or Tonic . They don’t offer local water as well just thousands of km imported water from Italia. The bill with my waitress took also more than 10 minutes in entire procedure( catch her to tell her that I want to pay , ( bringing finally the bill and take money and bring change ) . I'm not certain how, but they have secured the best Pizzaiolo (Pizza Chef) in Vietnam today. As a big fan of quality Italian foods, i know Mattia De Paolo was trained in Italy as a Pizzaiolo and has brought his timeless knowledge to La Riva in Mui Ne! Of course we had his signature pizza the Parma Ham which was of course exceptional. Our son ate an entire adult serve of Pesto Fusilli, which i did not realize a 1.5 year old was capable of putting that much pasta away! We also ordered the Caesar Salad and it was the best traditional Ceasar Salad i believe we have tasted with freshly seared bacon, crisp quality leaves, crunchy crutons and anchovies blended into the dressing just as it should. The house red wine was very pallatable and their service was welcoming, attentive and genuine. While in Mui Ne for the weekend we had the chance to try Mattia Di Paolo new spot La Riva Mui Ne beach. As always the food from Mattia was amazing. The meat lovers was piled with high quality meats and the capricciosa was unreal. Of course we knew the crust would be perfection which it was! The starters of Caesar salad, garden salad and bruschetta were also great, really loved the Caesar especially. The atmosphere and vibe are very cool, the owner welcoming and staff was attentive and cheerful. All topped off with a complimentary bottle of limoncello to end our meal!

Everything was so good we went back a second time to share a pizza as an appetizer before our dinner reservations:-). If you are in Mui Ne check this...
