Let me preface this by saying Hồ Mây Park wasn't bad, not at all. The idea is fantastic - a giant amusement park nestled in the mountains with city views? Sign me up! But there were just a few things that kept it from being a slam dunk.

The park itself is beautiful. The mountain air was cool and refreshing, a welcome change from the Vung Tau heat. The cable car ride to the top was scenic, and offered a great view of the sprawling city below. We even saw a glimpse of the ocean!

Once up top, though, the park felt a bit scattered. There were some definite highlights - the Alpine Coaster was a blast, and the zipline offered some amazing thrills. The downside was that some of the other rides seemed a little run down, and there weren't a ton of options for young kids. The water park area, which I was really looking forward to, was surprisingly small.

Overall, Hồ Mây Park was a fun way to spend an afternoon, especially if you're looking for some adrenaline pumping activities. However, if you're expecting a world-class theme park experience, you might be a little disappointed. For me, it was a 3...

Awful place! Avoid at all cost! The only thing that is nice about this place was leaving and the view. All the rides are old and not maintained. The park is dirty and not well staffed. From 11am to 1pm all the employees take a nap. In the kids area the attendant was sleeping on the trampoline and wouldn't let the kids play on. I asked and she just rolled over and went back to sleep. The other outdoor kids area was full of half broken rides. The pool a area was a joke. For the kids they have an old piece of playground equipment. It has PVC pipes with holes drilled in them zip tied to it. The water in the main pool was green. However the the two slides were the worst. The few people that did try them only went once. Everyone said that they injured either their back or neck and were too scared to go again. The go cart track was another fail. The people who rode them said they were slower than they looked and the track was so bad that it hurt to ride it. Better to just save your money and go to one of the much better theme parks in...

Really fun day out, ticket from cable car includes entry to park all day. The alpine is the best thing ever!!! We had the place to ourselves and didn’t realise how big and how many activities are up here. Even a pool with 2 slides to cool off after the long day. However I have to mark this place down to only 2 star as firstly the slides are not safe at all, I hurt my foot going down the double one. Secondly and more importantly they have an animal area at the bottom of the park you can only reach from getting off half way down the alpine which is not explained anywhere so it is pointless to have as the animals are not even visited and just kept up in pretty awful conditions. Very small cages for the goats, birds, porcupines... Also seeing 3 very ill looking pigs in the pig area really broke my heart. These animals are not looked after well and should be removed from the park

Other than those 2 complaints it is a really great day out I just disagree with the animals being...

Ho May Park in Vung Tau is a hidden gem with lots of character and a classic feel. Perched on the tallest hill in the city, it offers breathtaking views. The alpine coaster is comparable, if not better, than the one in Tahoe. The ziplining and challenging obstacle course are must-try activities. The tubing slide, paintball, and archery sections are also great fun. All these attractions are included in the admission price. On less busy days, you can enjoy multiple rides without any wait times. The park's nature reserve offers a close encounter with animals. While it may need renovation, I still had a great experience. You can reach the park by motorbike or cable car. At 400k Vietnamese dong ($16 USD), it's worth every penny. Visit this hidden gem in Vung Tau.

I've been to Vung Tau at least 20 times now, but it was my first time to Ho May. If you've done everything else in town, it's not a bad way to kill an entire day. It's just a run-of-the-mill Vietnamese amusement park, so don't go in with Disneyland or Six Flags expectations. It's a 300,000 VND entrance fee, but once you're up there most everything is free of charge. There are many things for both children and adults. I enjoyed the obstacle course, which took over half an hour to complete both the lower and higher levels. Some other things for us big kids are a zip line and rock climbing wall. There's also a swimming area, so if you want to cool off bring some swimming attire.
