LePatino — Hotel in Southern Province

On a positive note: A big thanks to Ester who gave us brilliant service with a friendly smile and always tried to accommodate our needs. Unfortunately we were not made aware of the power cuts beforehand, which happened on a regular basis, and had an effect on the wi-fi and airconditioning in our room. We also were not able to watch DSTV once during our stay as it was always off, even though they advertise this on the website. We mentioned this to the staff and still don't know where the exact problem was as it was not sorted. Our room and the establishment (including the swimming pool) was very clean. There was unfortunately only one bedside table in our room and we had to ask for a kettle. Fresh towels only came the next day. The hotel's menu is also very limited and the first night we could only pick from two dishes. We also had issues with the amounts quoted for activites and transport, which increased when we were there without any prior notice. Our stay at Le Patino was excellent. I believe that it must rank among the best values in the Livingstone / Vic Falls area. The room was clean and comfortable with air conditioning and dstv. It is an easy 5 minute walk to the main strip in Livingstone.

The highlight of our experience at Le Patino was the wonderful staff. Esther greeted us with a smile and her hospitality was incredible. A quiet, homey little B&B located in the CBD, easy to find. Staff were friendly and very helpful.

We stayed in room 6 and it well set up and the bed comfortable but the aircon was not effective at cooling the room which made it very stuffy and hot. The shower also didn't have a shower head. The breakfast was much better than I expected considering how much the room charge was.

They have cute little pool that may need some more regular care.
