Last time I came here the massage and atmosphere was amazing. Unfortunately this time after being seated in the quiet relaxing waiting room upstairs I was taken to the massage room downstairs next to the reception area for my treatments. I paid $500 between my partner and I for relaxation massages / treatments. The therapists were good however the downstairs area is very loud. I was disappointed to hear multiple doors constantly banging closed, people talking and laughing out in reception, the receptionist receiving and taking calls from the public for bookings and cars starting up and driving out in the car park. I think the pool area is also near the room so perhaps I kept hearing people entering and exiting the pool. It was really hard to relax. Especially when I kept thinking just how much I'd paid to be there. Could the doors perhaps have a slow close function so that they don't sound like they are slamming shut. Or can treatments be kept to the upstairs area? Or at least give people an option upon booking? I won't be returning in favour of a spa with a more quiet atmosphere where I can properly relax during a relaxation massage. My partner and I were also told on arrival at 1000am that there were no robes available. They were running low. However when I later asked again after our bathing session and was told no again a different employee heard I was having a treatment so then allowed me to have one and she opened a cupboard stocked full of them? So I was very confused about this and felt that I'd been lied to all morning about them not having robes. It was very different to the penninsular hotsprings experience of having treatments booked where they provide you unlimited access to free robes and towels all day. And considering I'd paid almost $600 for the day I would have appreciated a robe to keep warm on a...
Read moreLove, love, loved our experience here! We did the night time session on a Thursday night and so glad we did. We went in the middle of winter and it was raining off and on but it was still SO amazing. The colder rain on your skin made the warm waters so delicious and welcoming. A bit chilly from pool to pool but we did settle on a favourite.
There was not too many people and plenty of room. The pools are reasonably close together but very well done that you don’t feel like it’s overwhelming. We were able to get some privacy to enjoy and relax into the experience which was really lovely. People do pop in and out but that’s to be expected, we all pretty much kept to ourselves and just enjoyed the experience.
We tried all the pools but out favourite by far was the passage. Having the water flow over your head and shoulders and also be able to soak in the warm waters was pure heaven. With so many pools to choose from you’ll find your favourite.
We enjoyed the without children evening experience but it’s not cheap so if you’re watching your budget go during the day, although it’s sure to be busier no doubt it will still be nice.
The staff were welcoming and lovely. We loved our experience and would definitely do again!
Best night sleep I’ve had in a long time after our long soak.
Only downside was the nourish cafe - would not recommend although we did grab a cuppa and the staff member was lovely - it was just meh. Maybe during the day it’s nice with a variety of things to eat. Was expecting possibly a meat or cheese board we could’ve purchased for a snack as we went at dinner time but not much of anything at all so that was a let down. Would recommend you eat before you go or you...
Read moreThis hot spring in comparison to other hot springs is smaller but completely worth the visit. There is, however, a time restriction. The pools are closer together, several steps going into the pool so if you think you’ve completed the last step then just assume there’s another step. The lay out given the space was great - ie Caves leading into water fall / pool. There was a Cold plunge but would be better if it was a plunge pool to jump into rather than a pool you have to walk in slowly. Design and decor is great - view of the stars and sky was great without obstruction from tree branches. All gender locker room and shower is great to go in as a group. However, the sequencing of the locker / shower is a little clunky as an experience. The area was kept quite clean overall. Location is very accessible and central to Warnambool town and they have accommodation at the springs for anyone wanting to stay at the springs. The music selection was also quite apt to the ambience. Overl great value for money and I recommend going during the week with...
