I had a fantastic experience at Fish and Chip Co recently. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and the staff were friendly. But what really made the visit stand out was the service I received from a lovely gentleman named John.

John was incredibly warm, polite, and attentive—he made sure I felt taken care of from start to finish. He took the time to explain the menu options, offered great recommendations, and even checked in afterward to make sure everything was to my liking. You don’t often get that kind of personal touch these days, and it really made a difference.

As for the food—delicious! The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside, and the chips were golden and satisfying without being greasy. It’s clear they care about quality.

I have praised this place when I first got it. I ordered a chicken burger combo chip were great. They serve my “chicken burger” with one. Chicken Pattie and one fish Pattie. I called and told them about what happened in a nice way. They offered me a free meal and took my name down. I didn’t want a free meal I wanted the right meal I didn’t go there again for three weeks. I tried calling to order the phone was busy for half an hour. When I just went there to order the music was so loud he could wave. Hear my order, I had to correct him on two things about my order luckily it was in the screen. Chicken burger and chip with chicken salt no tomato on the burger. I waited half an hour for my order. This place used to be awesome. Restaurant was packed on a Friday night with patrons eating in and heaps more waiting for take away orders. They are a mere shell of what they used to be. Must be under new ownership now. Their once revered Caesar salad resembled a wilting, brown mess that I’d hazard a guess had been out of any fridge for hours. I bought two Barramundi dinner packs for nearly $22 each and the pieces of fish were tiny and tasteless. Both myself and my wife binned the fish and salads and filled up on the average chips we were given. This place used to be an iconic Bayside gem. Unfortunately, all that remains of this once esteemed venue is the sign out the front.
