Where do i start? Walked into the premises with high hopes as it seemed nice and clean. Approached the counter and seen a chicken and rice special for $9.99. Requested said item. Told was $12 something. Thought ok... must be a lunchtime special. I'll let it slide
For $12 something the container was filled over 3/4 of rice and a small serving of meat. As i left i noticed that there was no heat to the item and decided to check the chicken... STONE COLD! Go back to speak to the gentleman and he states that they close it off at lunch and apparently it seems like they let the food sit in a cold bain marie. Also, this is probably the nicest décor I have ever seen in a ‘take away’ shop. While ‘Take Away’ is in the name of the establishment, there are plenty of tables where one can enjoy some casual dining. The slow cooked beef and potato cost $16 with barely any beef to be found - I counted 6 small pieces, The rest of the meal consisted of potato and rice (loads of potato!) The chicken dish was the same (only with even less chicken).. We didn’t enjoy the dim sims unfortunately (at least there was meat in those).
