Vue 180 Functions — Local services in Gold Coast City

I would NEVER go here again. Firstly, the waitress was extremely rude. When I chose my meal the waitress said 'we don't have that' and just stood there staring at me. She didn't even apologize that it wasn't available. We waited ages before they took our order and even longer before we got our food which I thought was excessive as there was only two other tables with patrons. 70% of the restaurant was empty and that was on a Sunday evening. When the food arrived we were all a bit confused as the menu stated 'All mains are served with fries and vegetables' but when our meals came out none of us had fries and vegetables on our plates, instead two small bowls of fries and vegetables were put in the middle of the table for the whole group to share. This was no way near enough to feed 8 adults. It equated to each person getting approximately 4 x chips, 2 x carrot sticks and 1 x broccoli, cauliflower and zucchini. The way it is written on the menu is quite misleading. Steaks were ok. About the same quality you would get in a pub but price was expensive for what you got. The chicken parmy was very thin and the ham on top was cold. The lasagne had too much sauce and the chicken cabonara had hardly any chicken in it. I wasn't impressed with the location either. Outside the restaurant it smelt like sewerage which I think was caused by the stagnant water that obviously doesn't flow properly through the canal. I went here to celebrate with a group of friends and left very disappointed. We should have read the reviews before choosing this place. I wasn’t going to write a review as my partner wrote a constructive review based upon our experience here last night however with the response from the owner I couldn’t help myself. The timeline they provided in response to my partners review which was basically an attack against her was completely wrong. Pretty piss poor response from this Resturant and as my partner stated we won’t be back, prior to this we may have been but definitely not now and we won’t be recommending this place either. Such a shame as the view is nice, food was for the most part okay (despite a few issues which the owner didn’t even bother to address).

So again thank you for your response but please do be mindful when replying to ensure you’re providing accurate information as this can make you look extremely condescending and furthermore, it makes you look like you do not take constructive criticism on board to improve your business. We dined at Vue 180 yesterday Saturday the 15th of August. It’s a lovely little spot looking over the water. waitresses were lovely. We ordered kids steaks and spaghetti bol and they finished their plates so that’s a good sign, my husband had the 350g rib fillet I think it was and was cooked to order medium rare with a generous amount of gravy which he enjoyed, I ordered the surf and turf and it was pleasant to eat the eye fillet was cooked medium and to perfection was really impressed the only thing I think it needed was to be seasoned with salt and would have been amazing with a side of Diane sauce. Drinks came out pretty quickly which is always a plus would have liked some water for the table which we requested but never came. We asked for a old fashioned which they said they couldn’t do so possibly the staff could receive some cocktail training to expand their knowledge would take this restaurant up a notch. all up...
