I don’t often take the time to write a review, particularly negative, however, today I feel this is needed. I just witnessed an incident where a poor pregnant lady was accused by a staff member (red headed man, I presume the manager) in front of the whole store that “she had been caught” not scanning a couple of items. I witnessed her asking the man to please lower his voice, that she was happy to pay for any items she missed scanning and that she was just trying to do her best as she wasn’t a check out person and had obviously just missed scanning the couple of items. I heard her state that she’d spent $500 and had a huge trolley full of items, and that she’d never been in this situation before. I then witnessed another woman try and comfort her on the way out stating “that the staff here are very racist and this happens all the time to her also”. The male staff member then proceeded to yell out again that, “ we’ve caught her stealing before too”. This implies to every customer in this store that witnessed this incident that this poor lady had been caught stealing. I think staff at ALDI Kallangur need to be mindful that with generally only one cash register open, members of the public need to assume the role of the checkout operator, which they are not adequately trained in. I feel the staff members need to take a better approach at assisting their customers and I for 1 know that when you are forced to self scan, the beeping of the register beside you can sound like you have scanned your own item, and so can see how this poor pregnant lady who was likely doing her weekly shopping has missed an item or 2. Having worked for years in retail, my suggestion to staff members is pull the customers into a quiet area and assist them rather than accuse them. My heart goes out to this poor lady who was humiliated and reduced to tears by these accusatory staff members with a complete disregard for...
Read moreI live in the caravan park next to aldi and shopped there since they opened. Prior to that I owned a home in murrumba Downs and always shopping at aldi. You have a grumpy old woman that works there and has always been rude to me not matter what. Yesterday was the worst she seemed like she was really cranky with me and quite frankly I've had enough of her behaviour I was simply returning an item that doesn't work and I decided to give it another go but this lock finger print doesn't work either you staff were not apologetic what so ever I've never been more disappointed in aldi after all these years what happened to customer service I worked my way up the ladder 27 years ago for a tough German company women didn't exist then. I ended up as only female in corporate management in the company and looked after 8 offices between Australia and new Zealand and to be treated like I'm nothing. Sorry...
Read moreThe staff here are always Super friendly and helpful which just adds to draw here. The fact that this Adli is I a shared location with Australia Post and a few other businesses means there is ample parking. Car parks are always clean and inside the store itself we've always found a very clean and well presented store. With a slight exception of late (due to the store/stock being repositioned which doesn't happen often) it's always easy to find what you're looking for and only on the rare occasion do we find that something we are looking for is out of stock, so rare in fact that I can't actually remember the last time. This store mighty not have all the fancy looking updates of other Aldi stories but it's convenient, clean & tidy, well stocked and a team of friendly staff ready to help out any way they can. One of my favorite stores for my smaller...
