Gunnadah’s Water Tower Museum is worth visiting for the exterior Vietnam War mural from the Battle of Long Tan by artist Jenny McCracken alone. The site also offers fabulous district views from the base of the 1908 concrete water reservoir that you can lap up for free.
If you’re up for shelling out five bucks, you can enter the water tower and traipse through the collected history of the local area. Arranged across four levels in the circular museum, it’s a hectic collection spanning war memorabilia, domestic items, costumes, artworks, photographs, and collectable tins.
