If your from out of town and used to how smoothies are made I highly suggest you avoid a smoothie from here unless you don’t care that it’s not cold.
As someone who makes smoothies nearly every day I am fully aware that if you don’t put frozen fruit or ice into the the smoothie, fresh fruit makes the cold milk no longer cold.
The staff working were amazing, really friendly and nice, so I went back and asked for ice. They put some ice cubes in the drink. When I asked them if they could please blend the ice cubes I was blown away to be told that they couldn’t because the owner is particular about the blender and they aren’t allowed to do that. As someone who owns a catering company it blows my mind that someone would rather serve luke cold drinks over using a blender for its actual purpose.
I waited for the ice to melt, it didn’t make it cold enough so I walked back in and left it on the counter which was quite disappointing because there wasn’t anything wrong with...
Read moreThe coffee was good. However you probably need to roll out a swag if you want to wait long enough for a meal. I ordered a toasted sandwich & after 30 minutes (it was busy so I gave them some leeway) I asked if it was still in the way. The young waitress told me it was on the way as we speak. I waited another 15 minutes only to be told that the kitchen had not even started it yet. 45 minutes and no food! Admittedly the barista who told me this was very embarrassed and gave me a refund.
The other annoying thing is there is no allocated place to wait if your a takeaway customer I was constantly in the way everywhere I stood & I had a long time to observe this after standing there for the better part of an hour…
Do better! Yes I received a refund but it is incredibly inconsiderate to waste peoples...
Read moreThird time is a charm! Well, for the third time We waited more than one hour (this time was close to two hours) for our meal. Being the only cafe open on weekends in Gunnedah, it gets pretty busy. I get it. Things can get a bit overwhelming, I also get it. Sometimes you can mess an order. I indeed get it. I am not an unreasonable customer, but for three times in a row waiting for eggs or a sandwich for over an hour is also unreasonable. Last time we order a plain ham sandwich for our daughter but two slices of bread, butter and a slice of ham - boom - one hour! Duck out for a coffee and a bite to eat on Sunday morning? Forget it. I lost my patience this time as asked for my money back. Saying sorry and bringing a milkshake no longer fix the problem. Not for...
