Awful, this was supposed to be an upgrade took grassy areas and turned it into a concrete jungle, took away seats with cover that could hold 12 to 14 people and replaced it with a seat that holds 4... They had a gazebo that could hold numerous people . Also with cover from the elements . Also gone.
There's no cover from the rain or the sun, all the concrete seating is out in the open.
On the station itself on platform 3,they took away all the seats on that platform and didn't bother to put any back.. Instead they put MORE of these concrete benches that aren't under any cover at all.
They spent $$$ Thousands putting in a lift that no one uses and thousands removing easy to walk down ramps to be replaced with stairs and extended ramps for wheelchair access.
Literally everything you can think of to make it harder and unfriendlier has been done, longer walks for the disabled, excess stairs when a ramp was fine.. A lift that goes up one level, NO SEATING for the people on platform 3 period, seating is only available outside the station in the open.
Apart from the unnecessary removal of the seats on platform 3, not a bit of work was actually done on the station, only on the underpass and the outside area where it's now completely people unfriendly.
Ugly, barren and disgraceful..definitely not a jewel in...
