Carlton Supermarket: A Mixed Bag Carlton Supermarket is a bit of a paradox. On one hand, it's undeniably clean, well-organized, and the general staff are quite pleasant. You can tell the manager, though seemingly strict, keeps the store running efficiently, with everything in its place. It's clear he maintains a high standard for the store's presentation and orderliness. However, the major downside is the pricing. Despite being surrounded by a high-density residential area, Carlton Supermarket is consistently the most expensive option around. For example, a 1-liter "Black and Gold" long-life milk costs nearly $3.00 here, while Woolworths' own brand long-life milk is only $1.80 a 10-minute walk away at Safeway. This significant price difference is hard to justify, especially considering the volume of business they likely receive. My experience with Uber Eats pickup orders has also been disappointing. On two separate occasions, the manager himself handled my order, and both times items were either incorrect or missing. This directly contradicts the otherwise efficient operation of the store. While the store generally has polite staff and is very clean, the high prices and issues with online orders are significant drawbacks. If competitive pricing and accurate online orders are important to you, you might want to consider other...
