Coburg Market — Local services in Melbourne

Started shopping here recently for fruit and veg because I'm sick of the ridiculous prices at big name supermarkets. Coburg Market has tremendous variety, it's good quality and the prices are great. The downside: the receipts don't itemise the veg and fruit clearly so it's a bit of trust. But I filled my trolley with fruit and veg and paid $45.00 which I expect will last two people 7-10 days. The prices displayed in the vegetables and fruits section are very reasonable. However, I suspect I was overcharged at the checkout, the total amount didn’t seem to add up correctly. Unfortunately, I didn’t ask for a receipt at the time, so I couldn’t double-check. I recommend always asking for your receipt to make sure you don't get ripped off (I saw other similar comments...

I went to this shop two times and each time they charged me $2.5 extra without telling me which is ripping off. The staff who bring the EFTPOS to you adds $2.5 extra. They do not give you the invoice of the items with lists weights with price.

Be cautious and watchful as they are not trustful.
