The service is horrible. Right from the counter , not 1 smile to welcome us or say hi. She looked at our face just waiting to give the order . We ordered 2Meat pizza, 1 Zaatar , 1 cheese pizza , 1 Latte and Cappuccino. When we got our cup of Cappuccino, my husband asked the person serving, is this cappuccino, the answer we got was ā€œMAYBEā€ They didn’t bring the Meat pizza for more than 20 mins. We then went to cancel the meat pizza and requested for cheese pizza instead. It didn’t come for 25 mins. I went spoke to the counter staff, she didn’t do anything. Then again asked the person serving to please get our cheese pizza, who went and spoke to the manager and then they sent something else. Got really upset and went to the manager and then he said he sent ours long time back but I told him, we didn’t get anything. Then he said he will make it again. Again waited for another 7 mins. Went inside the restaurant at 10:00am came out only at 11:25 am. We had so many things planned but they wasted all our time because of this confusion. The last time we went, I asked them for Lemon, the server went and got me extra plates. Then when I told her I wanted lemon , she went and got me lemon juice :(. Really sad experience . 2 times but never again. They really need to train their staff. Greeting is the first thing which makes one feel welcomed or not and there is no sense of...

I went in and told them I've never been before, so what would they suggest. I got given a menu, and basically got told what I could read in the menu. I would've expected a bit more explanation as to what is what since there's a lot of foreign language in the menu.

I have a genuine interest in middle eastern food but unfortunately it's tricky to get into what you don't know what you're going to get really. Maybe the issue here is that those in service also have no idea of the language or the culture of this food's origin.

Anyway, I got a shanklish pie(aged cheese and eggs), and a kafta pie, my mum got a spinach and cheese pie. It's been about 36hours since we've eaten and my 2yo son had diarrhoea this evening, and I've just had diarrhoea tonight. I did notice that the meat in the kafta is too soft and mushy, but I don't know what got to me and just ate it. The bread was toasty, so one would imagine the meat had been cooked!!

I must say that I've been let down a fair bit as I thought it would be nice to try different foods over this way north of the city and where the culture and the food isn't my everyday fare.

Sorry, I won't be coming back. There are other bakeries and cafes that would have the same food but not come with...

After coming here with my family almost weekly for about 2 years, I'll be going to A1 Bakery in future. When the owner(?) made a mistake with my order, forgetting to put the cheese on my Za'atars or perhaps not paying full attention when taking my order. I asked for cheese to be put on the pizzas as this it not what I ordered. I was then told by the waitress that it's too bad. The owner says it was without cheese. After pointing out that I come here weekly and order the exact same thing each time, she suggested I speak with him. I spoke with him at which point instead of apologising he also said I didn't order the cheese. I said I was happy to pay for the cheese or receive a refund and go elsewhere. So he charged me for the cheese and told me I'd have to wait 10 mins. I then checked my bank balance and after routinely paying $37.80 for my order, today I was charged in excess of $50. The menu prices haven't changed. So not only did he make a mistake with my order and not accept his mistake, he overcharged me for the pleasure and made me and my family wait. The ego knows no bounds apparently. I would have thought a loyal customer was worth owning your error and...

Used to go there many years ago, now went back after a long time, they are still phenomenal on their food, quality and quantity. I do recommend them and it's a must visit place.

@ZaatarBakery for breakfast, I chose the cheese pie, and the Lebanese version of a bagel called kaak, which was cut in half length ways and I'd chosen tomato, onion, and capsicum as optional fillings. I'm a massive fan of the cheese pie, a delicious soft bread filled with scrambled egg like haloumi, such a treat to eat and definitely in the category of comfort food. The cheesiness can be a bit intense so switching over to a light bread topped with sesame seeds and filled with ingredients which provide a bit of acidity and sweetness, makes for a great contrast. This is a lovely creation. I like the slight crunch on the outside. #LebaneseFood #breakfast #bakery #cheesepie #haloumi #kaak #bagel #Foodie #melbournefood #sydneyrdcoburg #Coburg
