Poor customer feedback. On approx. 26th Nov. I purchased 2 tubs of 1 ltr. Natural Organic Vanilla ice cream with a marked use by date of 08/11/24 and no evidence of a batch number on either container. Then I drove straight home, no longer than 3 minutes max. I went to get the containers from my car and to place them into the freezer I noticed the floor of my car covered with melted ice cream. Not soft ice cream but runny milk like substance. We placed them in the freezer and rang the Chadstone Road shop to ask if it was safe to consume. They said yes which we did at a family dinner. The following week we tried the second tub and discovered that at the bottom of the tub it was a frozen block of milky ice, not ice cream so we washed the container and took it back to the shop and explained what happened. The staff member on duty was polite and said she would have to ring her “manager” which she did. She came back with a response that her"manager” stated because we didn’t bring the container back with the contents, they couldn’t help us (note at this stage I had not asked for a refund or a replacement, just to sort out the spoilt food product that my family had consumed) I don’t understand how one can return a leaking tub of ice cream which had already soiled my car carpet. Needless to say, I left the shop resolved to never again buy another Dairy Bell product and to inform all my friends of this terrible experience and to enquire with Food Safe Victoria why the product tubs did not have a batch identifier number on them and with Consumer Affairs Victoria as to my customer rights. I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and am disappointed to have to leave such a poor review, since the ice cream quality is fantastic.

The owner is more concerned about saving money than running a decent business and would rather throw ice cream in the bin than address his customers legitimate complaints respectfully. I have never witnessed such appalling management in my life.

The staff are lovely also but unfortunately now 3 times I have bought a 500ml ‘choose your own’ container from there and it has been filled less than half way in a much smaller container than displayed. The third time I decided to weigh it and it was only 240mls (they have since removed the 500ml option) so I called up and was told they would get back to me, 2 weeks later and nothing. Went in spoke to the owner, who was incredibly rude; he offered me a $2 discount on a 1L, and I reluctantly agreed - it was still less than 3/4 full. I asked for a spare container so I could again weigh it, he raised his voice and accused me of bullying him to try and get free stuff (like anyone would bother over ice-cream, I mean seriously, it’s the principle) so I politely explained I would not pay.

On a more positive note, every time I have ordered the 1L choose your own, through door dash, it has been filled to the brim, in store - don’t bother,...

Went in this evening at around 9pm to order some hot jam doughnuts and she said she already had turn the fryer off! all i had been looking forward too was these doughnuts as they are so good and boy was i disappointed. If you close at a certain time i should be able to order anything from the menu until that time. very disappointing.

Update from the 31/07- i went again this afternoon and asked for some doughnuts. Now they are cleaning the fryer. Once again disappointed.

Can someone please recommend where is a good place to get hot jam doughnuts that will actually serve me hot jam doughnuts, during there opening hours.

Sorry for another update but i called this evening around 6:30 to confirm if they could provide us doughnuts as i had been twice and not received any so i didn’t want to show up and be told no. The girl on the phone did confirm that they could do doughnuts. When i arrived the gentleman working was very sweet but said they were out of oil and still charged me for these doughnuts in the photo. how do they look eatable?
