Cashier did not even acknowledge me as I stood at the counter with my items next to the register, even though he was less than 2 meters away. I stood there for a while, his eyes were still glued to his phone. Then I gave up and walked out, left my items there. I'm fairly certain that the only work he will do tonight will be to move those items back to the shelf, or maybe I give him too much credit.
