Look, I know there really isn't anyone at fault here, but there are three main demographic that frequent this place... 1. The elderly, who walk so slow everywhere they go and take up whatever walkway they're on, preventing anyone from getting around them, they usually don't even know what they need or want when they're there so they end up being in people's way and they can't possibly wrap their heads around the self checkout at Woolies for the life of them, yet they consistently persist at trying to use it, which subsequently wastes so much of other people's time, but at the same time if they go to a normal checkout, essentially it's like they're there to be an inconvenience to others. 2. The disrespectful derelict teens, most likely coming to and from the highschool across the road, constantly loud, obnoxious and cringey. 3. The "junkie" looking kind of person, who is really just an older version of the teenagers.

As well as all of that, it is a bit of a dilapidated mess of a shopping centre and could really use a nice overhaul on the overall look and feel on the inside, as well as a more simplistic car...

Has almost everything you need. Yes, it's layout is an old mall style that you remember from child hood but the options are endless. Tatts lotto/newsagent, post office, realestates, tax agents, 2 chemists, 2 florist, podiatry, dentist, gp, ALDI, woolworths, big fields, bottle shops, butchers, seafood, poultry, multiple barbers & hairdressers, nail salons, massage, smoke marts, children's clothing especially pop culture kids, adult clothing, phone repair guy is awesome, key cutting, tracksuits & basketball jerseys, jewellery, plenty of food and drink including tabets bakery making the best cheese pie ever, kababs, banmi, fish n chips, chicken shop, coffee shops, bakery, dimmies, multiple dollar stores with variety, laundry matt, furniture store, gym and dry cleaners. For a small community I think we are pretty lucky with the variety within...

A lot of people are complaining about the outdated design, but in my opinion, the 80's aesthetic gives the place it's character. Most malls built around this time would've gone through several redesigns and modernisations over the years, and it's incredibly rare to see somewhere that's been preserved in all of it's original glory. I can't understand how an 'outdated' look can get in the way of your shopping experience. If the place was poorly maintained or dirty, that would be a different story, but despite it's old look, all the facilities you'd expect in a modern day shopping mall are there.

If this place was losing traffic and was full of vacant stores, I could see the need for some modernisation, but I've been here a few times and it's been buzzing with activity with plenty of open storefronts. I would come here for the 80's...

Do you miss your childhood? Crave neon lights, low ceilings, and mission brown? Look no further. Largely untouched since the 1980s, At Gladstone Park Shopping Centre, you can experience an authentic vintage shopping mall. Step back in time and visit one of the only remaining Dimmeys stores in Victoria. Grab yourself a bargain at the very popular $2 Superstore, and finish it all off with a flat white at the OG Michel's Patisserie. Just watch out for the leaky roof on rainy days!
