The Chicken Salad Spot — Restaurant in Melbourne

Hello,

I went there Wednesday the 26/10/22 and purchased a 1/4 chicken and chips with gravy and a drink.

They wanted to charge me 50 cents more to pay by card so I paid by cash.

I put my box on there table to sit down to eat and the bottom of the box collapsed and the chicken chips and gravy started to empty out onto the table.

I went up to the counter and pointed out to Matty the server that the bottom of my box had collapsed and I needed another box to transfer my remaining food.

But Matty said thats another 50 cents boxes aren't free.

I couldn't believe it I thought what an inconsiderate and rude response, so I just sat back down to eat the top section of my food.

The side of the box also pop opened spilling more food onto the table.

A lovely lady heard the conversation and brought an empty box for me to which I thanked her and also declined as I was to embarrassed to accept it and had money.

But the chicken shop kept the box and did not offer to give her 50 cents back.

I wrote this review to let others know of the non existent poor service and there appetite for profit over courtesy and politeness.

I think they are new owners and that's why there are no standards.

I don't recommend this service and hope they respect and...

I have been a regular customer here for years, however after the service I recieved tonight I will not be returning. My dad put through an order for a chicken snitzel burger with chips and gravy on the chips. When my dad brought the food home I realised we were not given the order we requested. I received a piece of chicken snitzel (no burger) and chips with gravy over everything in a cardboard box. The gravy being in a cardboard box has made everything soggy (including the box which was falling apart. Usually the chips and gravy are placed in a polystyrene container to avoid everything going soggy.

I called the chicken salad shop and the service that I recieved off the manager was appalling. The manager told myself that they could not have gotten the order wrong and I needed to take responsibility for putting through the wrong order. They also showed no care for the way they packed the food and the way it was all soggy and not appealing to eat at all.

I am quite disappointed by the service I recieved by the manager and I will not be coming...

I have recently become a Gladdy Park convert after discovering all the amazing cheap food options here. This chicken shop easily takes the prize for the best of the lot. The best at Gladdy Park and the best Chicken Shop I've probably ever come across. All the review here are right about the prices, quality and service. I honestly can't fault it. The only problem is the $10 minimum for eftpos (which is completely reasonable). It just means I need to buy 8 dimmies on top of my chicken roll meal deal to get it across the line. Terrible problem to have I know! I didn't think places like this existed anymore but I'm so...
