Last Sunday I purchased 2 kilos of girello. I spent over $30.00. I asked politely if the butcher mind slicing it for snitzel. Obligingly both the gentleman that served me and I’m guessing the lady in charge was happy to meet my request. I got home at 5.00 pm to find the meat was sliced long ways and had a bad feeling the meat would be very tough. I crumbed 2 kilos, 2 hours later, Dropped the meat off for my sick grandsons and hoped for the best. The meat was so tough it caused them to choke and vomit. I dropped into the store to explain my concerns yesterday. The salesman was not empathetic at all and also explained last Sunday he had a new butcher and clearly did not know how to slice meat. He was not in any way troubled by this disgusting service and had no intentions of give me a refund nor providing a substitute . Madina is the best butcher shop in Gladstone Park, and one of the best this side of Melbourne. Friendly staff, always happy to assist and give recommendations. Very affordable prices, with specials on Sundays. The meats from Medina butchers have been the foundation of many succulent meals in my home. They are 100% Halal so no pork products but their range of beef, lamb and chicken cuts offers a lot of choice and they will happily assist with any specific requests you may have, from thick cut steaks to freshly ground lean mince, racks of ribs, you name it.

The consistency of top notch customer service is second to none, in particular the girl summer, she’s so vibrant and always enthusiastic to give advice on what’s the best cut of meat for my recipes as I’m an avid cook and quality is paramount.
