As a local I always try to avoid shopping at IGA, last visit there most veggies were moulding some badly and when I told the staff she didn't care and left without saying anything or taking any action. Also they tend to not price all the items on the shelves and to not give you the receipt so when I asked I discovered they chargede more on one item compared on what was advertised on the shelf. Finally I agree with other reviews about ice cream they are defrost and frozen again, I had to throw it in the bin as soon I opened it. Avoid it if you have time to go shopping...
Read moreBought some milk at double the price I am used to paying. Opened it the next day and used a little before I noticed the use by date was the previous day, ie the day I bought it. I took it back that day and instead of an apology, the owner said I shouldn't have opened it! I said he shouldn't stock items that have expired.

Read moreCan’t believe this place has stayed open and the Ripponlea Grocer (basically a non franchised supermarket) metres up the road has closed. The latter was much nicer organised, cleaner, wide aisles and actual off street parking. This IGA is a hot mess of tight aisles, poor presentation, often feels unclean, staff that seem disinterested and more difficult to stop by as its street parking in an already busy area.
