This cafe should be shut down!!!!!!!!!
If I could give negative stars I would. This place needs to pay people to eat there. I sat with my kids at a grotty table that was uncleaned from previous people. The horrible waitress I told her to clean it and she literally picked up one crumb with a tissue and walked off. The food took ages to come, when it did the waiter was careless the food almost slipped off the plate to the table. Presentation was bad and the taste was foul. Undercooked eggs on a piece of burnt toast. Not even buttered. the size of the adults meal was enough to feed a bird. It was disgusting. We couldn't eat it. Flavourless, and cooked with no care. Cost me $41 that I shouldn't have even paid 5 for.
This is the worst meal I've ever had put in front of me. I hope we didn't get food poisoning. If this is a decent Cafe I'd be expecting them to reach out to me for a refund after this review. Most horrendous dining experience ever! The waitress needs to be fired. She walks around like a zombie, has no personality, no smile, doesn't care anything. Worst employee of the world goes to her.

Read moreStumbled on this cafe after visiting Ripponlea Estate. What a lucky find. Excellent food, excellent coffee and impeccable service. The menu includes some very well prepared Israeli recipes. I had the green shakshuka (there is a red one), the colour depends on whether they use red or green harrissa. A nice variation on the original shakshuka which is based on tomatoes. My partner had the lamb shawarma in a freshly made pita pocket with Israeli salad, humus, boiled egg and pickles. The only complaint is, the main ingredient in shawarma is usually the meat, but there was very little of that. But what was there was excellent. They also serve breakfast, and cater for vegetarians. Street parking available, easy wheelchair access. We will definitely...
Read moreMixed feelings... I'll start with the good; Nice staff and good service, good coffee and a nice vibe. Not so good; shakshuka was below par with overcooked eggs and tomatos which I can only assume we're canned. The pita pocket I had was a rollercoaster of emotions. First off it was off an the menu order, consisting of the chicken pita pocket but substituting the chicken for lamb, which was tender and juicy and amazing.... Then I finished the first half of the pita to find that the meat was just on the top and all the veggies were on the bottom, so I could only eat half the meal.
Hard place to rate, just so it's so impressive but at the same time...
