Do yourself a favour and don't waste your time - there's much better and friendlier venues in the area.

We booked online based on the images and seeing an outside pool area. Booked online at OpenTable and given the choice only to book at "Sol & Luna." Upon arriving, we told there were 2 seperate areas Sol AND Luna. They told us we had booked at Luna only, not at the Sol, which is where the outside area is. We were also then told we weren't allowed outside either due to it being fully booked. We decided to stay at the inside area and enjoy ourselves anyways. There was a large open room with tables and couches and no other guests at all. We told the staff we would want to order food and drinks, but then got told we couldn't sit on the lounges near the windows, only at the tables near the entrance, which was only 10 meters away. Being that the tables were positioned opposite the toilets, we decided to not order food and just stay on the lounge seats (although I'm not sure why we couldn't order food in the lounge, the couches were extremely stained so it surely wasn't a cleanliness reason) I walked to the bar to order a drink. The gentleman behind the bar wouldn't even acknowledge me or look at me, instead he started yelling for a hostess to come help. When the lady came over, she advised it was table service only (even though the room had NO other guests). I collected my own menu, sat back down with my friends and then waited for someone to come and take our table service order. Throughout our visit we repeatedly had to keep waving down staff to come and serve us for our 'table service'. After 90 minutes, we gave up and left to a different bar which had much better customer service.

It's a stunning venue, but not worth the confusion in booking each seperate area, as well as the poor...

This was the worst experience of my life, I had an allergic reaction to peanuts and when asking the waiter urgently “ does this dish have peanuts “ the waiter lethargically went to the kitchen and came back 20-30 min later saying “ he’s was sure there wasn’t “ which was already too late as I had a sever anaphylactic shock. I rushed to the bathroom and within 10 minutes later was unconscious and was only assisted by two gentlemen who helped. I was rushed the hospital and spent the entire night in hospital due to the incompetence of the staff. If they assisted urgently as the matter was I would have been in a much better state.

A week later after recovering from this traumatic situation I thought I would call at a least to discuss the refund for the dinner which I did not even have due to having the reaction and the waiter replied “ if you get a refund we won’t give you free meals next time “ Which shocked me to my core and almost made me cry as it was such a traumatic situation. Thank you to the boys who helped and stayed with me for 5 hours but their staff were no help at all.

To all the staff at this venue I strongly suggest you implement better procedures not to ensure no other patrons need to experience such a situation. It was absolutely disgusting and disgraceful.

It is bad enough they weren’t a help during the event but to be rude to me when I could have passed away shocked me to the root of my core.

It’s a shame that such a beautiful venue is filled with such incompetence and disregarded for their...

Sol & Luna helped me host my 30th celebrations on their rooftop. Let me tell you, I couldnt have been more happy how the entire night went. Cassie the events manager was amazing to deal with any question at any time leading up to the event she had time to answer. Drinks where poured strong which I wont complain about. Food provided tasted fantastic and was presented very well. If you are looking for an OTT venue with breathtaking views and the best bar service I received I couldnt recommend Sol & Luna more!! I hope to return to this venue in the near distant future for a meal and a few drinks! Jacob the Sol Rooftop Beverage Manager was a ripper of a bloke, towards through out the night he would come out and make sure we were all having a good night, and constantly would bring us plates of shots! At the end of the night when they closed up, we had some issues getting a friend out of the bathroom, he brought this friend water and walked her downstairs to make sure she was okay. Couldnt praise this bloke higher for his efforts when a lot of other managers would say get out.

Thanks Sol & Luna for making my 30th very memorable, I will definitely be back for a few...

Living at P.M. Port Melbourne, I feel really lucky to have Sol & Luna right downstairs. It’s become a regular part of my week, whether I’m grabbing a quick coffee on the way out or meeting friends for a relaxed dinner. There’s something about the space that feels welcoming without trying too hard — it’s modern and stylish, but still comfortable enough that you can sit for hours without feeling out of place. The coffee is genuinely good, which says a lot given how picky people are in Melbourne. In the mornings, I often stop by for a flat white and a croissant, and the staff know me well enough now to have it ready quickly. During the evenings, the atmosphere changes completely, with dim lighting, music, and a menu that’s perfect for sharing. The food is fresh, nicely presented, and feels thoughtfully put together without being overcomplicated. What I enjoy most is how Sol & Luna adds to the sense of community in the building. I often run into neighbours there, and it’s become a spot where residents can connect beyond the lifts and hallways. It makes living here feel less like just an apartment block and more like a neighbourhood.

Extremely rude person standing at the front of the lift. Such a shame, I had so much high expectations for this place. On their website it mentions strictly walk in only for small groups for the rooftop, the guy argued in a rude manner that we should have booked, unable to justify why their website doesn’t allow two people to book. I have noticed from other comments that they never reply to bad reviews, poor customer service. Please see attached what is written on their website.

Amazing view and cocktails. Food was not bad. They could really step up with their customer service. We had to wait for a long time to be seated even though we had a reservation. Then another long wait till we got our hands on a menu. Then to order drinks and to receive drinks and wait time in between drinks was a long time too. By that time we had 2 drinks and went to another place 🤣
