I’m absolutely beyond appalled by the quality of the lamb meat I purchased from Tasman Butchers in Pakenham today. When I opened the packaging, I was hit with an extreme stench so horrific that it made me physically dry reach! The meat was GREEN yes, green and smelled so revolting it made me vomit.
This experience was beyond disgusting and honestly traumatic, it’s the kind of thing that would make someone turn vegan instantly. I’m scared to buy meat in general now. Selling meat in this condition is not only unhygienic but outright dangerous and harmful. Eating something like this could genuinely make someone seriously ill even fatal.
Never, and I mean never, buy any kind of meat from this store or anything in general. If you value your health and sanity, go elsewhere. This was absolutely unacceptable and this sick place should be investigated as soon as possible as this is inhumane. I don’t know how they’re still in business.
Now I have to drive there and back to get a refund while stinking my whole car out with this horrible, unbearable smell. This is time, effort, fuel and energy. What an...
Read moreI’ve been a regular customer at Tasman Butcher in Pakenham for some time now, but recently I’ve been extremely disappointed with both the service and changes in their practices. In particular, the butcher used to be happy to cut chicken into curry pieces, which was incredibly convenient, but they no longer offer this service.
What is even more troubling, however, is the recent behavior that I and others have experienced. I’ve noticed that people are being charged $10 per kilogram for services that seem to be provided for free to white customers. This feels deeply discriminatory and unjust.
I believe in supporting businesses that treat all customers with respect and fairness, regardless of their background. Unfortunately, it seems this is no longer the case here, and I feel compelled to share my experience.
I sincerely hope management will address these concerns and return to offering the fair and inclusive service that used to be a hallmark of...
Read moreLove this Butcher! The service with a smile always counts here and the staff really appear to enjoy what they do, helpful and courteous. The cuts are really good quality and they always have a wide variety meats including large slabs of meat that you can portion yourself or smoke on the BBQ. Prices are really good value that you can’t help but want to stock up the freezer - Incidentally, you can buy a 2kg-2.5kg chuck steak piece for slow cooking, dice it yourself, freeze half for another time and you are saving about 1/3 of the cost in some cases. Great value. If you have pets, they also offer a nice range of pet meat that rivals most places I have been and for much lower price as well. Can’t recommend this place enough. Well...
