Vermont South Shopping Centre — Local services in Melbourne

This used to be a quaint little shopping designed for the local people however this shopping centre is starting to become rather tired. Let this be known that this neglect is not of the business owners but the management as well as the landlords. The following are a number of examples...

1️⃣ The seats are all metal and there is no cushioning. I am speaking for the elderly and the disabled whom needs these seats because of health or injury issues. Because they are hard they cause pressure sores and they need to be for a while in hospital.

Now let's see... should I rest my legs or will I go to hospital later on. (sarcasm). For goodness sake, these seats are designed for outside use but they are inside. Is the management so cheap that they cannot get more comfortable seats?

2️⃣ The directory is so outdated that several shops that are long gone are still on the directory. For example...

🔹 Mr Fix-It has gone at least 18 months ago and they name is on the board. 🔹 Cignall has moved to that location after a burglar robbery which their previous shop has moved on. 🔹 the Dumpling house has been there for over 18 months and they are not on the directory. 🔹 Clark Kent Computers has changed their name to PC Technologies and they have moved out of the shopping centre.

3️⃣ The carpets are worn and reasonably stained and dirty. I don't know who cleans those carpets but this is terrible let along the colour is atrocious.

4️⃣ The front signage is coming apart. When you peruse the photo, this is further evidence of the neglect the management is providing meanwhile these business are copping rent hikes every year.

5️⃣ The toilet facilities are at a pitiful state. Where can I see a facility for the disabled or let alone a clean and pleasant baby changing and feeding facility? It feels like that I am at a toilet from the a third world country.

I cannot stand idly by seeing these business owners get screwed by the centre management and if that means people need to stay away then so be it. I am a local to this area and I would love to shop here regularly however it is becoming hard for me to shop when big shopping centres have stores which provide the same products but cheaper which I believe is driven by landlord unrealistic rents and terrible maintenance.

Excellent staff in stores, Coles and Aldis, chicken shop,, Baker's Delight, Continental Bakery with variety of pies etc. Beautiful cakes in abundance, another coffee shop, the delicatessen everything you desire and much more, dressmaker & alter., only women's clothes store no men's Aldis have clothes on Saturday special sales, fruit & veg. Store all Asian, sauces nuts etc abundance of fruit & veg., butcher, Chinese hot stones, acupuncture treatment, body massages, 3 hairdressers, seafood shop, dumpling,, Chinese, 3 Japanese, fish & chips, Thai. Macas, Dominos, Subway, Italian pizza pasta takeaway, exclusive hamburger plus shop big pet shop food mainly & built homes, optometrist oh the best jewellers in town jewellery made to order heaps watches rings glassware on display I may have left some out, oh my friendly extremely great staff our pharmacy and 2 florists same owner, made to order special cakes never seen before. Post office, Westpac , dry cleaners and never closed newsagency, female eye brow, eye lashes threading extensions much more Fantastic Ramen dumpling restaurant when open always full. Liquor land, she'll petrol station Coles Express great staff plenty more 2 x $2 dollar stores, special gift shop check it out , need check it out will not leave empty handed and great conversations with perhaps new or old friends. I gave them this this rating because the place is small but friendly people the staff were very helpful and friendly especially the amcal chemist 2 dollar shop clothing store cafes etc overall e good little shopping centre except for weird car park set up no nothing's changed except Coles has been updated and on Sundays after 4pm you can only get out one entrance at Coles and bakers delight which they say it's due to cleaning I don't know why they have to do it then they should do it later like most of the other shopping centre's do it affects not only me but quite sufficient others a lot of people do shop after 4pm to and don t want to go around the long way I have a disability with a frame and this makes it very difficult for me I've tried to get through to management but they never answer there phones it goes straight to voicemail and they never seem to be around in...
