Rich Mahal Indo Chinese Cuisine — Restaurant in Melbourne

I'm not a curry connoisseur but I must admit I was quite nervous tonight when my better half suggest us to have dinner here. I was thinking "did you check the recent review?" However Im glad that I went anyway.

So here is the verdict. We are very satisfied with our dinner there.

We ordered: rice + curry beef + chicken 65+ egg plant curry

Maggie mee goreng

roti plus curry with rendang

roti plus curry with chicken 65.

Boy at first, I was a bit hesitant as I looked at the curry, I was thinking will it be as bad as the reviews. And i took that "spoonful of faith" on my rice pack order.

Those curry beef gravy and the rice mixed with the heat from chicken 65 made an explosion of flavor in my mouth. I just can't get enough I thought to myself this can't be right, the review said it's not as good. So there I was munching the meal and each spoon to my mouth is just very delish.

The only thing that can get some improvement is the beef on the curry beef could be cook a bit longer to be more on the tender side but other than that it's the star of my meal tonight.

Chicken65 is good, packed with enough heat to keep me pour more and more of that delish rice that bathed with the glorious curry gravy.

Egg plant is ok a bit too sweet for me, but it made me feel not as guilty as at least I have vegie dish on my plate 🤣

Now the roti, I think it's quite nice and not oily at all.

The rendang is a bit too sweet for my liking, I still prefer the curry beef.

The Mee gorang I think is just ok.

Overall would I come back again? heck yes especially for the curry beef and next time I will ask for more of that glorious curry beef gravy to flood my rice.

Is it worth the price?

For me yes, I almost could not finish my meal but those curry beef just keep telling me "come eat me , eat me" hence I finished the "race" 😅

The lady serving is friendly and I could see that she cooked with her heart.

Folks this place is not perfect but it will be if we support them on the long run. So there you go.

And no I didn't work for rich Maha or got paid by them (if they want to I would consider another serve of the rice and curry beef...

Had the worst time at this Indian restaurant. The place was super unhygienic 🤢, with oil and grease food 🥗. The staff were totally unprofessional and didn't seem to care at all 😒. It was such a mess that I swore I'd never go back there again 🚫.

Reply for your justification: My experience was far from satisfactory. I understand that you might have your reasons, but the way you treated your customers, including myself, was extremely unpleasant. It felt dismissive and unwelcoming.

I've noticed from your other replies that you often try to justify your actions, but I have to tell you that you are wrong in this case. Your treatment of customers is extremely unpleasant and unprofessional. I even have GoPro footage of my visit that I can share with the public if necessary, though I hope it doesn't come to that. It clearly indicates your rudeness and odd day attitude.

Regarding the food, I have to say that in my opinion, it was the worst I’ve had in a long time. It was overly oily and the taste was not like it used to be. It’s important to respect others' thoughts and feedback, and I hope you consider this seriously.Also, I have a lot of things to do besides spreading false information. This review is based on my genuine experience and feedback.

Everyone can have an odd day, but it shouldn't affect how you treat your customers. Unfortunately, your behavior ruined my day, and it’s not fair for your bad day to impact mine. But appreciate your acceptance. And remember, its your odd day not mine.

Food is typical Indian Malaysian style, one meal serve at a time. Pay now and wait for your meal.

Don't expect any service its purely pay n eat.

We order 5 dishes we recieved 3 meals 1 at every 10 mins, waited 15-20 mins realising the other 2 was forgotten. Approached the manager asking about the 2 meals, he said he didn't have the docket. Asked if we still wanted the meals, of course I said because we have been waiting. No apology and no sense of urgency even though they had forgotten.

I did order an additional meal with forgotten meals and asked for all meals to be served the same time.

Guess what happened, 2 of the easiest meals to make arrived but the last one was to arrive another 10 to 15 min later.

We proceeded to pay the additional meal and some drinks, wanted to charge us for all 3 meals even though the 2 forgotten meals were paid for before.

I asked if there was a discount or anything complimentary for the delay. He shook his head with a stunned look.

To which I reply, OK it's fine that's how you do business. Paid and said thank you goodbye. Whilst dragging my dad from speaking nasty words.

Conclusion: don't expect any form of hospitality service or any responsibility for any mishaps that could happen.
