📍 Location: Wantirna, VIC 🕰️ When: Every Sunday 🎟️ Entry Fee: AUD 2 per adult; free for children under 15 🚗 Parking: Easy to access by car with ample parking, but pedestrians often move through the car park—drive with care. 🌤️ Type: Outdoor market Market Highlights: This is one of the larger markets in Melbourne’s east—spanning the size of 4 to 5 soccer fields and made up of over a dozen aisles. It offers a wide range of budget-friendly and second-hand goods, perfect for everyday use or unexpected treasure finds. There's also a great variety of plants and potted greenery, often at more affordable prices than major chain stores. Food Options: No food trucks, but a small on-site café offers a cosy place to rest and warm up. Tips: * Bring cash—some stalls may not accept cards. * Arrive early for the best selection. 👥 Suitable For: Primarily locals looking for home goods, garden bargains, or everyday second-hand finds. But if you're a visitor who enjoys treasure hunting or exploring local culture, it’s still worth a visit! 🐾 Pet-Friendly? Unfortunately, pets are not allowed

Have enjoyed going to this huge excellent Sunday market (an old drive-in theatre) for over 6 years.. regular traders mixed with the public selling their unwanted treasures approx $40 a table if you wish to sell . On site cafe. fresh vegetables the ever changing list is endless. I never tire of going there at least once a month, weather permitting. Heaps of free parking. Pensioner entry 1.20$ young children free.

$6 if you want to enter the market earlier. $2 for normal time entry. The market is well organized. Full of varieties. The not so good experience was with one of the sellers, he told us one of the cactus plants was selling for $25. Friend came back to pay 15mins later the seller changed his mind and refused to sell for $25 and asked for $40 instead. His excuse was that he said the wrong price initially. Well 🙂

Informatiin for 1st time seller😊

The stall entry gate was located inside the Wantina Health. Enter into Wantina Health towards carpark. Go all the way straight downhill and see the bright coloured boom gates. The small market entry gate was on the left. It won't be visible until reaching to the boom gate😉

It was my first time visit and may be one car was inside the gate when I came 5am on Sunday.

A first seller car pass me and went through the gate and 5 more cars went through.

There was another small gate on far left 9 O'clock corner. Around 5:10am, the staff slowly arrived and by the time it was our turn to pay at 5:20am, male staff told us this queue is weekly booked stalls and need to queue right side near the first gate for casual stall😲

Now I can see another staff at the first gate. By the time we reached the end of another queue, it was already 40 cars in front of us😰😢

Casual seller queues right side top corner big L (the first car was ↑North west facing← towards 2nd entry gate.

Regular stall holders queue left side of fence, facing up↑ the 2nd gate next to the Mountain Hwy. Because there was lack of information on website how to queue(as 7Jan2023), we just followed the first car.

We left the casual seller side queue at 5:25am and went to the...

From the perspective of a casual seller, this market was great to sell off second hand goods. We arrived at 4.40am (sellers arrive at 5am) and there was already a small queue forming. Entry and set up is well organised. You have your car at your stall site, which is very convenient for loading and unloading. You can expect early bird buyers to start rummaging through your stuff before you're finished setting up. Lost one star for lack of food - you can only buy food from the cafeteria, there are no independent stalls so the variety and quality is very poor and we were quite disappointed by that, other markets have much better...
