Sunday night around 8:30, four of us decided to stop for a bite to eat and I am so glad we did. From the moment we walked in we could see how clean everything was, even in the corners and under the counter which we could see from where we sat down to eat. Everything looked clean and felt clean. The two men behind the counter, possibly Father and Son were an absolute delight. We'd never been there before and they were both very patient, and answered all our questions. Even the music was very pleasant and at a volume that could actually be appreciated and enjoyed, not blaring from speakers so loud you've got no choice but to yell at each other. Everything was prepared in front of us and we decided last minute to eat in. The food was brought over to us, wrapped but on plates, piping hot and smelt devine. At all times we received the utmost courtesy and some of the best service I've had in a very long time. As far as the foodā¦. we've had a local favourite we've gone to for a couple of years now for HSP and kebabs, however the last couple of times the service and quality was starting to slip a little. High turnover of very young people serving and it reflected in the quality of the product. I didn't think I'd ever say I would not be returning, but after discovering this place I am happy to never return. The mixed lamb and chicken pack I ordered was stacked full of meat, chips and salad. The chips are to die for, they're hot, crunchy and fluffy on the inside with a good layer of chicken salt. The salad was fresh, crisp and you could actually taste each individual item in the salad. The Kebabs that were ordered by the other three people were devoured in no time and all four of us were in agreeance that it was without a doubt some of the best food we've had in a very long time. I am absolutely blown away by the preparation, taste, and the service. There is not a single thing, I feel, they need to improve. Next visit, I will tackle the baklava !! To the two gentlemen at the counter, please don't change a single thing, keep doing that thing you're both doing and if I could give you 10 stars,...

Review for Kubida BBQ at Unit 1/680 Boronia Rd, Wantirna VIC 3152, Australia
ā 1/5
I recently visited Kubida BBQ with high expectations but was deeply disappointed by the overall experience. Hereās why: Food Quality: We ordered a mixed doner kebab with lamb and chicken, two combos with fries, and a pizza. Unfortunately, the lamb and chicken in the doner kebab were cold and lacked flavor. It seemed as though they had been prepared in advance and simply reheated. Fries: The fries tasted stale and looked unappetizing. It was obvious theyād been refried to make them appear fresh, but the taste was far from it. Pizza: This was one of the most disappointing parts of the meal. The pizza was covered with a heap of raw onions and a single large slice of tomato on top of the bread, followed by some meat, chicken, and cheese. None of the toppings stayed in placeāthey just slid off, making it impossible to eat a proper slice. Even worse, the pizza was served cold, and after requesting it be reheated, it took another 10 minutes, but the texture and taste still left much to be desired. Service: Although they did reheat the pizza on request, the quality issues remained. Serving cold food and reheating it in front of customers isnāt ideal and gave the impression of poor preparation.
In summary, my experience at Kubida BBQ was far from enjoyable. The food quality, taste, and presentation were well below expectations, and I left feeling disappointed. I wouldnāt recommend this place based on...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePoor choice and badly made. No value.
I got the mix platter. Tasted all of it and threw most of it away.
The kebab meat was so devoid of actual meat it was a chewy, rubbery mass that looked like a grey overboiled intestinal tract. The chicken, though cooked thoroughly, was gray. The lemon has broken down and tenderized the fibers so much that you can't taste chicken anymore. All the meats barely had a scratch of heat to give it that nice char.
Canned olives were used. Soft, boring and flavourless, just like the cheap pizza place you swore you'd never go to ever again. Jalapenos added for heat were confusing. Like a Mexican food sales rep came through with a commercial quantity tin and left them there as a free sample.
Bread was soggy and probably not baked anytime recently. My feeling was it was reheated from a frozen supply.
The only thing fresh was the lettuce, tomato and parsley which oddly enough was served with a pinkish/ orangey coloured sauce normally accompanied with seafood.
All of the food screamed SUPERMARKET and you could easily do better at home. I've had Persian styled food all across the world and this is not a fair or even close representation of what it should be. There wasn't even a hint or a fleck of sumac, a spice so eponymous with the region it's almost an insult not to have it available on the side.
They don't even have menus available to take away.
Do yourself a favour and go across the...
