Parrot Distillery Co.

We visited the Parrot Distillery Co to finish off a day of wine tours in the Orange region.

The Distillery is located in what I would describe as an industrial area 5 minutes walk from the Orange CBD. You are immediately drawn to the large rustic sign at the front of the building. Upon entering you see a simple but very well thought out and designed area with the bar at the far end of the building.

We were immediately greeted by Joey and his upbeat positive attitude towards their product ensuring that we had a good time, this added a great feeling to this experience.

So the Parrot Distillery Co is strongly based on a variety of Gin drinks from the basic gin to the mind blowing experience of the palete, where your drink is completely Gin but with the additives gives you a taste that is delicious but simply doesn’t compute…. You have to try the OG Gin!

As a previous non gin drinker I am certainly a convert after this fun, friendly experience.

Non-wine drinkers of (or visiting) the Orange region rejoice! Parrot distillery is here with an excellent (and surprisingly large) range of gins to save the day.

Not huge opening hours as they’re still young so book/check ahead. But honestly this is a distillery set to rival the Archie Rose and Four Pillars of the world.

In particular their oriental gin is amazing and the core range make a banging set of G&Ts for their G&T sampling platter.

Great choice of Gins at competitive prices. The pizzas are among the best in Orange, only $15 at lunch time. The gin tasting paddles are beautifully presented with well selected garnishes and good quality tonic. The instruction to initially taste the gins neat to fully appreciate the flavours and only add tonic if desired was greatly appreciated.
