Factory Espresso — Restaurant in Orange

The size and quality of the big breakfast was impressive, the beans and tomato mix was outstanding and the large big soft toast that came with the breakfast was such a great improvement from hard cold sourdough which is normally the standard . Coffee was hot and delicious my only constructive observation is that the team working need to be more interactive, orange is a destination and growing fast , more conversation with the team ie. Welcome to the factory, where you from , are you new to Orange, may I suggest this , where are you staying etc . Also cold butter doesn't spread well on the lovely soft toast. Maybe room temp butter would be something to add. I was seating by myself for neally an hour, and the 8 team members I counted out front , I wasn't approached once , to check on my breakfast or make small inviting conversation. I think this needs to be addressed as you never know who is sitting in your establishment and there is so much to be gained by all involved through wonderful bright engagement through human conversation, both parties lives are improved and joy and kindness and respect are free. I have just relocated to Orange and I would have really enjoyed hearing about the history of this establishment and other information...

I absolutely adore Factory Espresso in Orange. Despite not living in Australia anymore, returning home means a beeline to this Roastery/ café, a gem that brilliantly blends big city sophistication with the charm and warmth of a local spot.

Cool spot. Thought we'd try it out as we've seen queues out front multiple times yesterday and this morning.

Whilst we loved the layout inside, my wife and I opted to sit outside as it was a lovely sunny day here today.

We ordered the burger special (11 am to 1pm) $15 for a burger with choice of coffee, soft drink or water. We got the pulled pork burger and small soy mocha with honey (extra). Burger was delicious, pork was cooked just right and a nice touch with the sliced apple on the base. Fries were a little cold but still good. Serving size is good for one person.

A bit too much honey in the soy mocha but it's not a typical order so barista probably went with a whole tsp (which would be perfect for a medium or large). It was definitely the best coffee we've had in Orange of all the trips we've made out here (this is our fourth I believe).

Keen to try out some of the smoothies on the menu next time as they have some creative names (like "Voldemort") and they didn't look like your standard offerings at...
