I remember I went to magnetic island with a friend. I think one of my favorite memories was going here at night the pretty pink and blue lights, the city lights softly glowing all the way from Townsville as I watched the sun slowly sink into the horizin. The cold wind against my skin as I took photos with my dad's camera. It was perfect I still remember watching as the blue lights inwhich are imbetted into the roof of the jetty's shelter lit my skin and the water below. I listened to the song of the waves crashing against the jetty the small creeks and the sound of a line hitting the water. I remember reading everything that was engraved into the old wood trying to desifre the puzzle of words. I remember setting my camera in its case down and catching ghost crabs laughing a lot as we caught them. We went to a playground near by the jetty he was much hevier then Me so he made my part of the seasaw go all the way down.theese memories I'll cherish forever imbetted into my memories forever something I cherish.Me and that friend aren't friends anymore he's mean now but maybe I still search for him, the him I first met deep in my mind. I don't think I can accept the part of him I met isn't...

For parents of babies and toddlers - this little tip and shade you can enjoy under the jetty - is an absolute gem!!!!

You can...

It's as far away from the rat race as you can get. Truly beautiful tropical island nestled between the great barrier reef and Townsville. It's mostly all a national park and abounds with the full gamit of wildlife from whales to butterflies♡♡♡♡

Love Picnic Bay - a decent walk or quick drive/bus trip from Nelly Bay...there is a netted swimming enclosure at the beautiful beach, stunning large figs along the waterfront and a few eateries... Go here to escape most of the tourism...
