The market is full of beautiful and interesting things. Happy people and very welcoming. But very disappointed with fairy and and old fella with a jumping Castle, first it school holidays, parents and kids expected free jumping... I had three kids with me whom took their shoes off and got into it to play when a old fella approached and ask how many kids I have inside... I said two are in and he said it's 10 DOLLARS 😱... I said sorry I didn't expect we have to pay for jumping castle. But I gave him the 10 bucks and said they could at least have a plate in front of it informing that you charge for it and he point to a plate three meters from the castle absolutely not visible!!! With have $5 not even specifying what! 😡😡 If it would be visible, I wouldn't let my kids get into it. He said Go complain to the Market...

Being a Wednesday, I'm sure that it wasn't as busy as it would have been on Saturday but because it was EKKA show day, there were possibly many more visitors from out of town. It was good to see some new and different stalls available. Being such a popular destination, I'm surprised to see that there has been no extra pedestrian access, especially across the road, where crossings or foot bridges would provide safe access. With all the money they're making in the carpark, all they seem to have done is put in boom gates to stop people entering near closing time. Inside the market, with all the stalls, I don't know where the stall fees are going but having better ventilation in the public toilets and even more facilities available, I'm sure,...

It's been years since I last visited the markets (approximately March 2009) so imagine my surprise in October 2017 to see the market has doubled in size. Oh yeah! We spent at least 5 hours walking around and didn't get to finish before they closed. There is every conceivable thing here you could want for a gift or to spoil yourself - food, clothing (adults and children), hats, shoes, handbags, wall hangings, paintings, books, health products, belts, soaps, children's toys for all ages, make-up ... the list is endless. Most store owners were very helpful and took the time to describe the products to you. I didn't have one "hard" sell during my entire 5 hours there - which for me is a pleasure!! This place is SO worth a visit but please...

Soooooooo many stalls at the markets, friendly people, choices for foods/drinks, cafés, parkland and abundant parking. Bargains galore and thousands of reasons to denude your wallet of money! I'll need another giant bag for the trip home for all my additional goodies. Very happy I am. No more opshops, markets or antiquing or I'll lose the house🤣! (Kidding) The attached lamp was purchased from an open house on the Gympie Arts Trail where dozens of people opened their homes to showcase personal collections and some items for sale.
