I visited the Baths after seeing videos on Youtube of the Hammam experiance I wanted to try as close to the real thing, so I booked in for the $260 Sherazat Package and I had Cemille on Saturday, I was really nervous and didn't know what to expect.
From arrival I was greeted by the receptionist who was beyond friendly as she guided me through to the Baths showed me around to my locker and the showers, before showing me where to put my towel and to hop in and someone would come and get me in about 40 minutes after soaking.
Oooo boy its warm in there, after a long pleasent soak and topping up on water a few times, even using the woven lounge to cool off for a moment, I was greeted by Cemille's massive smile, she was super friendly and washed me, bubbled me up, massaged, gold body masked and coffee face masked, which smelled soo good I was craving a coffee (what I didn't know at the time is that you can get a Turkish coffee at this place as well it is so good be sure to try it and remember there are grounds at the bottom of the cup so don't finish it all leave about 0.5 cm at the bottom of it) anyway my treatment was finished with a hair mask and rose oil which smelled divine. Quickly my nerves went away and I was able to fully enjoy the experiance.
The best part (mmmmm that hot stone in the middle of the room, I just want to lay on it like a lizard it is so warm and nice)
Once I got home I was relaxed for days and kept dreaming of that deep heat from the stone, I was soo excited to book again that I tried to book each week since :D (at the moment i've got 3 bookings in to return) IF you want to go on a Saturday you need to book 2-3 weeks in advanced as its a popular day. The second experiance I went in on a Tuesday as the Saturday was filled and I didn't give the booking enough time.
This time I went with the $150 Bourness Package (A thorough wash + massage with the Bubble Bag of course!) just without the bells and whistles, I had friendly Habibe she brought me a Turkish Coffee and wash me.
And I also had a Full Body & Brazillian wax with Emma.
Emma is super lovely we had a great chat while she helped me keep my mind off the waxing and she told me about the Clay mask and that even if something isn't in a package, you can just have it added on which I absolutely love that this is fully customizeable.
So ontop of the Bourness Package I added the imported clay face mask (it tingles a bit on application) moisturizing hair mask Each addition was a $25 extra charge.
I have 3 more bookings all on a Saturday next time I want to try the Queen Package which has a Honey & Lemon face mask ooh and the package which has the sea salt body mask.
Massive thank you to Cemille, Habibe & Emma for making the experiance wonderful.
Since my last booking i've had many more and come regularly every 2 weeks now, it is so relaxing.
On my most recent visit I had a lady called Chide or Chida and had the Bourness Package.
So far my fave packages are any that include the Bubble Bag. It is a definate must try if this is your first time pick a package that...
Read moreWe visited the bath house over the weekend and we’re disappointed. Unfortunately this bath house has hygiene, maintenance & staffing issues. Upon arrival their lift was not working so all 3 of us had to walk upstairs using the fire stairs & the bathhouse was on level 2. Receptionist was nice but that’s where it ended. We were taken to the change rooms & the main bin in the change room was 3 quarters full with no lid or anything that was disgusting. Then there was a water leak from the ceiling, leaking onto the lockers which left the impression on me that this place is not being maintained. We finally entered into the bath house and they asked us to go sit in the spa.
The spa headrest was broken on one of the seats which was not an issue but that made me have a look at the actual spa and between the water line of the spa and above the water line of the spa was oily and full of yellow stuff stuck to it. This clearly means they didn’t clean any of the dead skin above the water line in the spa for a while to say the least. The jets on half the spa was also not working.
We were then called over to start our packages. We had the $170 package which I was expecting a proper massage but I got everything but that, as I have had massages in many different baths this was so disappointing. It was clear that non of the ladies were trained in anyway, and they were just normal people scrubbing your body. The most disgusting part was they would exfoliate you and wash all the dead skin onto the floor and you would walk over other peoples dead skin barefoot. Then they would rub you on this stone no better than you would in the shower on a regular day. While we we’re getting our massage there were other people in the bath and they were talking so loud and their voice was echoing through the entire bath house which was not relaxing at all and non of the staff even cared to tell them to talk softly. We finally finished our treatment and they didn’t even clean the stone in the centre that they scrubbed us on and they called the next lot of ladies over to lay on the stone to begin their treatment. I’m pretty sure that is not hygienic at all. When I left the bath house I felt so dirty that as soon as I got home I washed myself all over again.
The only positive thing about this experience was that there was parking outside at the front. Everything else was such a waste of money and time. All I can say is am so grateful I do not have some fungal infection or something similar from that place. Please read the reviews carefully before you decide that this kind of bathhouse is your thing because it was very unhygienic to say the least. I do wish I took some photos but I couldn’t take my phone into the bathhouse and I forgot to take photos of the bin because I was soo grossed out at the end of my treatment I just wanted to get out of there as soon...
Read moreI visited the bathhouse on the 22nd of December 2023 and received the Aroos Bridal Package as a surprise gift from my mum and sister.
From the second we arrived at the bathhouse, Sue greeted me and was so welcoming and helpful to get me prepared for my Turkish bath house experience.
When you first arrive you are taken into a change room/bathroom where you change into your swimmers (I definitely recommend a 2 piece and not a 1 piece). There are lockers provided so you can lock all your valuables that you can’t take into the spa room. There was a lady (I forgot to get her name) in this area constantly cleaning and mopping the floors so it was always a clean space.
I had the place to myself when I arrived which was nice, the bath room was so pretty! My package included a fruit platter that I got to enjoy while I was sitting in the spa and there are some cold drinks inside for you to drink if you get too hot in the spa. The spa is meant to soften your skin and prepare you for the exfoliation stage.
Sylvia was my masseuse for the day. She was so gentle, maternal and sweet! I loved every minute with her. I felt so relaxed and comfortable during the whole experience. She treats you like royalty!
You’re not laying down on the bare tiles for the experience, they provide you with a sarong that you lay down on and use a hot water bottle as your pillow so it’s warm, soft and comfortable.
The entire place was so clean. If you’re not prepared and don’t have your own towel and sandals to wear inside, they do provide you with some but I did take my own things with me (towel, 2 piece bikinis, sandals and a change of clothes).
My favourite part would have to be the bubble bag! I can’t explain but it felt amazing and also smelt so good! Also I really loved Sylvia and gave her a big hug before I left.
My skin was glowing after my experience and felt so soft and smelt sooo good. My hair also felt and smelt amazing 🥰
They do also provide hairdryers for you to use afterwards.
The only downside to this experience was that it came to an end and then I had to bath myself normally 🥲
Overall 11/10 experience, I would definitely do this again and am keen to try the couples...
