I am writing to express my disappointment with the service I received during my recent visit to your café. Unfortunately, the staff member who initially served us was extremely rude and disrespectful, which made the experience very uncomfortable for me and my family.

From the moment we entered, she displayed discriminatory behaviour, asking “are you eating here?” while making a dismissive expression and looking my children and me up and down. I mean why would we come if we weren’t planning to eat? When I politely asked for menus, she ignored me and pretended to be busy, later sending another staff member to take our order. Shortly afterwards, she claimed that I gave her an anxiety attack, despite the fact that she had been rolling her eyes, making quiet comments, and treating us in an unprofessional manner.

While we were seated, she began loudly lifting and slamming chairs near our table and eventually approached us, saying it was a “me problem” and accusing us of giving her attitude. This was untrue, my children were quietly enjoying their meals and were excited to be there. Her behaviour ruined what should have been a positive family outing, especially as my daughters had just come from a doctor’s appointment and were eager to finally eat.

Although she admitted she was “having a bad day,” this is not an excuse for showing such disrespect to paying customers. Everyone has challenges, but professionalism and courtesy should remain at the centre of customer service.

I truly hope this matter is taken seriously so that no other families have to experience what we went through. Respectful service should be a standard, and customers should feel welcome regardless of...

Oxygen Cafe, I had the pleasure of sampling their "Hash Stack," accompanied by a "3 Berry Smoothie" and a "Vitality Juice." Service was competent, without noteworthy delays, and the ambiance, while not extraordinary, provided a comfortable setting for a casual meal. Presentation was a strong suit – the dish was a visual treat, indicative of the care put into its assembly.

The "Hash Stack" was a dish of contrasts. The foundation of the dish, the potato and spring onion hash, was expertly cooked, boasting a pleasing texture and a well-judged seasoning profile. The charred corn salsa added a delightful freshness, contributing a lighter, summery note that balanced the heartiness of the hash. However, the inclusion of the beef rashers introduced a discordant element. Their oddly sweet taste was a jarring departure from the savory expectations set by the rest of the dish. It's my recommendation that the kitchen re-evaluates the source or preparation of the beef to better complement the existing flavors. A savory element such as traditional corned beef might better serve to enhance the umami without overshadowing the dish's inherent harmony.

The "3 Berry Smoothie" was a triumph, delivering a refreshing and well-balanced blend of flavors that truly hit the spot. This beverage was a standout, offering a sweet reprieve from the meal's more complex flavors.

In conclusion, while the "Hash Stack" showed promise with its individual components, the sweet profile of the beef rashers needs rethinking to achieve a truly cohesive dish. The accompanying beverages, however, were delightful and showcased the establishment's ability to create well-crafted...

Absolutely RUINED my friends birthday party. I've been here several times and recommend this cafe for its food and usually exceptional customer service to many friends.

I called in the morning to ask whether we could bring a birthday cake with us to cut for my friend and the answer was a direct yes. Brought in the cake and it was taken by a waiter to the fridge so we could have it after our food.

It was DISAPPOINTING to realise that after we had our dinner we were told that we weren't allow to cut the cake. I advised the manager that I had confirmed over the phone that we COULD bring the cake and that the cake was ALREADY accepted by the workers in their fridge.

Although it was offered to pay for our meals (which we didn't accept), it's shameful to see someones birthday be ruined by something so easily avoidable. We would have went to another place if we were advised initially.

It's a shame though how one altercation has lead him to lose a lot of customers. The waiters service was exceptional but the manager doesn't have customer service skills and was very rude...

Fantastic Hidden Gem...an overall rating of 87/100 This is a well staffed cafe in unsuspecting part of South Granville. Beyond insta-worthy plating and presentation, the food tastes fantastic. The Taro Hotcakes are a taro lover's delight, and are super moist and not dry at all. All the various jellies and condiments on the side complement it brilliantly, as does the syrup served. The eggs benny on a crossaint is a really unique offering and nice touch, with a fair amount of flavouring. The coffees are of a high quality standard. Can I say - the service is also FANTASTIC. Very friendly staff all around, from servers to cashiers. Overall great value for money and worth a trip if you are out in Western Sydney.

Absolutely unacceptable behaviour from the young lady serving. I cannot understand why my skin colour should matter when all I came to do was enjoy a meal with my family. Discrimination of any kind has no place in customer service. It is especially disappointing when someone who chooses to wear the hijab, a symbol of modesty and respect, treats others in such a disrespectful way. This behaviour is not only unprofessional but also deeply hurtful. Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and kindness. If your establishment openly expresses support for causes like Palestine, then that same commitment to justice and equality should be reflected in how all customers are treated.
