Visitors! Keep yourself away from this place! On our way to Auburn Botanical Garden, we came across the Auburn Golf Club, where a sign at the entrance clearly stated “Visitors Welcome.” Since we did not find any other restaurants or shops nearby, and in google we have seen this Place have a Nice Chinese Restaurant, we decided to enter the place. After entering we have seen only the Shop which Sales drinks, and packed food, its not the Restaurant, we decided to have a walk and have some food or drinks afterward when we will find the Restaurant.
Upon crossing the Shop, we didnt notice any visible signboards or instructions indicating that visitors were restricted from walking past certain areas or entering specific zones. Naturally, we followed the trees and walkway inside the club premises. Along the way, we encountered several players, greeted them politely, and none of them objected to our presence or informed us of any restrictions.
After a short while, a man wearing a black T-shirt (we were unsure if he was a staff or member) approached us and abruptly asked us to leave the area, saying it was “dangerous.” We calmly asked him for directions to the exit, but instead of assisting us, he walked away without responding. We even thanked him from behind when he was leaving and began discussing among ourselves the safest way to exit, as we genuinely had no intention of causing any disturbance.
Within less than a minute, the same person returned and began shouting aggressively, saying: “I told you to leave! Why are you still here?” His tone and body language were extremely rude and intimidating, as if he intended to start a confrontation. We tried to explain politely that we were only looking for the correct exit, but he ignored our words and continued shouting.
We apologized repeatedly and again asked for directions, but instead of helping, he rudely told us to leave the same way we came, offering no guidance or courtesy.
This entire encounter left us feeling deeply humiliated and discriminated against. It appeared that we were being treated this way because we are not white. Such behaviour reflects racial discrimination, which has no place in a multicultural and inclusive country like Australia. Despite the Government’s continuous efforts to combat racism, it is disheartening to experience it firsthand, especially in a public recreational area where visitors expect equality and respect.
If the premises or vehicles were under CCTV surveillance, we believe the footage would clearly support our account of this incident. We sincerely urge the management and relevant authorities to review this matter seriously and take appropriate action to prevent similar racist encounters from happening to others in the future. After this we felt so down that we didnt dare to explore the Restaurant and Shop, even we cancelled all the plans of the day and just returned home.
If visitors are not permitted beyond a certain point, clear and visible signage should be installed at the entrance instead of displaying “Visitors Welcome.” Transparency and respect go hand in hand with hospitality, and such steps would prevent confusion and protect the club’s reputation. If you don’t want any visitors just clearly state that, the Auburn Botanical Garden is just nearby and wide open for the visitors. They will visit that, but treatment like this is unacceptable.
We hope this incident will be investigated promptly and that strong action will be taken to ensure no visitor, regardless of their background or skin colour, experiences such racist...

Personally, I'm a big fan of their Satay Chicken and Szechuan Chicken dishes - they're mouth-watering! My kids, on the other hand, can't get enough of the seafood options - they love everything on the menu!
One of the highlights is the generous serving sizes, which are perfect for families. And the best part? The prices are very reasonable, making it an affordable option for a delicious dinner with the whole family.
Overall, the Rosnay Golf Club Bistro is a fantastic choice for a...
