Great store but had a terrible experience with parking. Had to duck in to pick up online order. New bus lane meant reduced street parking. The store has a carpark so I turned in not knowing how small it was. The carpark was full but I didn't feel safe reversing out of the driveway. There were vacant reserved parking spots. I reversed into them intending to make a three point turn to exit but then I thought it was quick visit so I parked there instead. I went into the store and registered my order at the counter and was told it would take five minutes. Then suddenly I heard my car registration quoted over the PA system and to contact security. Being an honest person I went to explain myself that as soon as I received my goods I would be leaving. The friendly security guy said no politely and requested I move it immediately. He explained it was the bosses space. A customer exiting the store overheard the discussion and kindly informed me she was leaving and offered me her space. The customer spaces were so narrow if you were a bigger person you would be able to get out of the car. After moving the car my order was ready. Very efficient friend staff. As I exited a Mercedes parked in the driveway collecting some expensive goods. The security guy was not only allowing them to park there but also helping them load the car (while the bosses space remain vacant). Customers are always valued only if you buy high valued items? Merry Christmas Peter's of Kensington.

I purchase a simple human bin from Peters of Kennsington in 2019. SimpleHuman bins have a 10 year warranty, hence why i have purchased it. We have used it as normal for the past 4.5 years but sadly the plastic that holds the metal bar inside the lid has broken. I emailed PoK about getting this repaired or replaced, and they simply said that our bin (in our kitchen) has been misued and they reject my claim but happy to charge me for a new one with a 20% discount (see the photos of our bin and tell me its been misued). I first emailed them on sept 19, and after numerous follow ups, here we are OCT 17 and no result. I have given fair warning and contacted the business first to resolve this, but will now be contacting the ACCC as they have misled me by telling me it has a 10 year warrantly and even thouygh i am 4.5 years in and im not able to claim on it. The product hass a major defect and under the consumer guarantee should be replaced/refunded or replace for a similar item. It has not been misused (its a kitchen bin.. how can i misuse a rubbish bin?) Sadly ill be escalating this report to the ACCC and contacting fairtrading NSW and Victoria Consumer Affairs. I hate leaving a review like this, but i won't be bulied out of my rights. POK Ticket #638028

This is a splendid megastore offering and extensive array of items, from crockery, jewellery, souvenirs, to travel accessories and bedding. I like the perfumery section with its diverse selection of perfumes and European soaps. The food section is noteworthy, featuring an impressive assortment of deli products. The cafĂŠ on the first floor is a gem. The cafĂŠ, seemingly inspired by grand European cafes is cosy, elegant and stylish. The quality to price ratio is excellent and the service is friendly and professional. One area for improvement (that is why I rated 4) is the customer service at the cashier. Despite being the sole client waiting to pay, my presence went unnoticed for a considerable five minutes by four staff members occupied with wrapping. Nobody noticed that I was in front of the bench for 5 minutes. I had to ask someone to attend me. I ended up seeking assistance from someone otherwise I would have remained waiting for a long time.

Reading other reviews, same issue about their "wonderful" customer service.

Where to start. We encountered a very rude, lazy and gruff man, of which I took his photo so I can relay it to the appropriate department. My partner and I were looking at some Magimix food processors and wanted to see a box as to see what's included. He couldn't be bothered to get the key and let us see the box. Just said, "it's right there can't you see it?" Then we said we'd take the matter chrome one. He sighed and got the key. Came back and barely looked in the cabinets. We walked away as his attitude was horrendous. We went to the front counter and asked if they may have had it in stock, which they showed two in stock. A wonderful woman named Vicki helped us out. As we went back to the display he approached us and made a very rude comment about us checking again and he called me a liar. Then he asked where are masks were. I stated we didn't need to wear one by government rules and I also have an exemption. He said yeah right. At this point the other lady couldn't find anything so we said thank you wanted to speak to a manager. I took several photos of this horrible man in case I'd need to identify to the manager. He then confronted us while talking to the manager and kept calling me a liar and saying I'm lying. Arrogant and rude attitude. He said that I couldn't take his photo, which I replied I sure can. There is nothing posted or in the terms of the store that state I cannot. And I will keep the ones I have to let others know to avoid him. He obviously knew he's wrong otherwise he wouldn't be worried his photo would have been taken. The manager didn't apologise and didn't even tell this man to walk away while she dealt with us. Unprofessional and rude behaviour. She really didn't have a solution and seems to be on his side. A worker should never, EVER, approach a customer and call them a liar. Disrespectful and digusting behaviour. Will never shop here again. Ever. Below is the extremely hateful, arrogant, rude person who walks around acting like he's busy. We had NO reason to complain or say anything about him. His attitude and behaviour was atrocious. He actually tried to pick a verbal fight with us. This is how one person can destroy a companies' reputation in one second. If he has treated anyone else like this, I implore you to tell your story. People like this think they can do anything they want. It was one thing not being helpful with a poor attitude. But it's another to come up to customer, speaking to a manager and call them liars, amongst other names I cannot quote here. We told the manager what WE thought about his attitude, his rudeness and apparent laziness. All because we had wanted to see the actual box so that we could find out what was included with the appliance. The employee, as he refused to give his name, was Harinder, Harry or...

Peter’s of Kensington no longer cares about its customers. I will be formally writing a complaint along with notifying friends & family of the appalling treatment I have experienced. I became a frequent online shopper with your company over 10 years ago. I have recommended your company to many people who have gone on to purchase from your company. I was known as loving your company & received a gift voucher from friends for your store…but the last order I received was a complete disappointment & after speaking with your customer service representative will it most likely be my last! The packaging was not fit for purpose & there is no loyalty as I now have to pay for deliveries. Like most customers if you make a high value purchase - I don’t expect to be slugged with delivery fees for slow-mail. Your company has also not stepped up with respect to information on products online, your representative told me I should go directly to the product owners site (for each product) to check the specifications for each product…if that’s the case I might as well purchase in a store or directly with the company. Your competitors understand customer service & loyalty…eg Kitchen Warehouse, Myer, David Jones etc. There is no loyalty options with your company. Given the amount I have spent over the years & all the group purchases organised with friends - some appearing under their name - same address…why should I continue shopping with a company that doesn’t care. I also expect glass items to be wrapped…to be told I could throw a particular glass item on the floor & it won’t break is not true…also are you going to replace it for me to test the theory? Finally I rang as your website chat feature is useless & expected time is not in sync (2 minutes does not equal 20 minutes in the real world) and then it freezes. So I rang as I was going to place another order yesterday but as I am not based in Sydney (shock horror we don’t all live in Sydney) and I wanted to ask about Express Shipping…by this stage your customer service representative said “I can’t help you & I have to go”…she then hung up on me. The fact I was willing to pay express delivery if I could organise a courier for delivery was not even a possible discussion. I also expect that if I pay for shipping & it’s high value goods (over $100 under Australia Post - I would have expected at a minimum signature on delivery - not just dumped at my door. Your competitors offer free delivery & most service Victoria (specifically Melbourne Suburbs) as it is a major state & customer base. However it appears you have gotten too big to care about...

For years I wanted a Le Creuset cast iron pot. Not a cheap item at all. I finally decided to buy one. I did my research and found that Peter's of Kensington had the best price. I ordered online and received it a few days later. I unboxed it, read the instructions and commenced hand washing it with lightly soapy water. It was then I discovered little silver scratches on it. I took photos and emailed both Le Creuset customer service Australia and also Peters of Kensington. My boyfriend took it to the Store in Randwick for me and requested their assistance the sales person whom I won't name admitted it shouldnt have the scratches on it and thought perhaps it was a returned item that had been accidently sent out but wouldnt exchange it for a different one. She said she would need to take it and they would have to look into what had happened. No time frame was given at all for how long this would take. I just need to point out here that Le Creuset take their warranties seriously and if a retailer decides to stock them they should follow the Le Creuset policies regarding this. I called Le Creuset directly and spoke to Mark. He agreed it didnt sound right and informed me that it absolutely should not have any scratches on it. He requested I take it into a Le Creuset shop so they could look at it. My partner took it to the Chatswood store they took a careful look at it and where horrifed I had been sold this product. They also pointed out that if it was brand new it would be packaged differently. They showed my partner a brand new pot and its packaging it was beautifully wrapped inside the box and packaged securely unlike the pot I received. Le Creuset took the pot purchased from Peters and gave us a brand new one. I will never purchase a single thing from Peters again. I will go directly to Le Creuset where they value...
