Happy Pho — Restaurant in Sydney

I was looking for a good Vietnamese spot in the eastern suburbs and came across this place with a 5-star rating. The menu was quite limited, but I decided to order online. I was informed that they only accept cash—no issue there.

Given the positive reviews, I had high hopes. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. The pho I received was, quite honestly, the worst I’ve had. The broth was overwhelmingly salty, lacking any depth or umami, and left a rather unpleasant aftertaste. It made me question whether the stock had been prepared properly, as that's the heart and soul of any good pho.

The "beef" was mostly fat and didn't taste fresh at all, which further took away from the meal. It’s hard to understand how a dish that relies so heavily on balance and care could be done so poorly.

I rarely leave negative reviews/ any review , but I feel compelled to share this as a heads up to others who, like me, rely on reviews to discover good food. I hope the owners take this as constructive feedback and consider refining their approach, especially if they aim to serve traditional...

I’m not usually give ratings but here I am. I went to this restaurant the other day with no cash. They said that they accept bank transfer so i thought it should be ok. Turns out my bank app was under maintenance and I can’t even access it. They said I can pay later when the system back on. They were very helpful and understanding.

The food is super good and comes with huge portions. I had special beef pho and dimsim. 1000% recommended and this will become my go...

The best pho in Sydney!

The soup of the pho is very warm and home feel. Very rich flavor. Quite a decent amount of meat given. The meat is very fresh too. I ordered the special pho and it’s very tasty.

The shop is very home feel like. The boss lady is very shy and u can see the boss cooking in the kitchen.

Price is not very expensive. $15 for most of the item and the portion is big. Only the shop need to pay cash or transfer bsb which can be...
