The Centre — Local services in Sydney

Has been in a state of flux for a few decades, and improving with every step. The banks have gone, the old pie and cake shop disappeared, even Baker's Delight left. What has been left though, is an interesting mix of quality coffee shops, eateries, gyms, chemists, clinics, physiotherapists, thrift shops and other long term businesses (whom probably own their premises). Luckily Coles provides enough (not ample) car parking as the council facilities is woeful. Recent upgrades to the pedestrian "mall" are welcome. There's no one adjective to describe this local haunt. It's a nice little suburban shopping centre. It has the best Mediterranean food outlet on the North side of Sydney (Aga Mediterranean Cuisine) and one of the best pizza restaurants in Sydney (Lucky & Peps). There's also a Coles, a butchers, a Chinese restaurant, a Thai restaurant, and a few other stores and food outlets. Theres free outdoor parking and also covered parking...

Great little local gem. Good variety of shops including a supermarket. We aren't local and just come for the fish and chips, which aren't as cheap as other places butt...
