Forestville you are soooo lucky to have TILT CAFÉ open up in your local Stanly St Shopping Centre. The "TILT" team ran their CafĂ© Dazed for many years in Breakfast Point, my backyard. Now I'm going to have to "trek" across the Harbour Bridge to Forestville for my favorite coffee and breakfast every few days. Team TILT you have NOT got rid of me as a customer!

Since I wrote that announcement for the lucky people of Forestville, I have driving the 27km to Forestville three times to enjoy breakfast with Steve Melvin and their crew.

The coffee, the food and the friendly service is well worth the time it takes me to get to TILT and back home again (I must add that I make it worthwhile by spending a long time reading their newspapers and drinking multiple cups of coffee.

Well done Steve and the Team, Forestville has certainly embraced...

Entered for breaky, all was going well. Iced Coffee was good I prefer it a little sweeter but that's just me so no fuss here. I order scrambled eggs on slices of toast but I think they brought out scrambled eggs on slices of rocks. Let me explain. Food was delicious, scrambled eggs were fluffy, chorizo was beautifully baked and the Hollumi was fried nicely. However... the toast crust was made out of rocks which made the whole meal quite hard to eat. Not to mention the plate did not have enough surface contact with the table, it was a little too bowly so it rocked and made a large sound everytime I tried to cut through the rock toast. All in all it was a delicious meal and the cafes got good...

Been in here a few times, and I have to give a massive compliment to both the service and the food. All the staff are lovely, and are happy to accommodate dietaries, happy to make modifications, and are extremely helpful. I do not have a single complaint about the food here. It’s actually all really well priced, with a really good “deluxe” bacon and egg roll for $15, which nowadays is unherd of. If you don’t want the extras, their regular is $10. What a deal!

Speaking of deals, all their wraps, baked goods, etc. are extremely well priced, and as an added bonus they all taste...

This place was pretty great. I had the tutti frutti drink that included pineapple, mint, lemon, and apple juice, which was pretty alright, and the breakfast burger I had was phenomenal. The breakfast burger had bacon, an egg, a beef patty, American cheese, and BBQ sauce, and oh my lord, it was good. The only criticism I have would be towards the staff. Two young staff members kept shouting and giggling whilst spraying other staff members with cleaning supplies. It was very distracting and annoying, and I hope they get reprimanded.

Staff are attentitive. Coming out with water and a menu as soon as we sat down despite it being so busy on a Saturday morning. I find that quality! I’ve been here before and was pleased to see an exciting and new style of menu other than the traditional options. Last time I had a falafel bowl and it was soooo good. So filling. Portions and flavours are fantastic. This time round I had eggs and salmon! Pretty sure I asked for poached eggs but got soft boiled eggs. 😂. Not a drama, just feedback!

If you are using Google Maps, don’t. It’d lead you to the back street of the cafe. Just park at Coles parking, come up the ramp and you’d see the cafe. I had the baked eggs, the portion was smaller than expected and it felt a little over cooked. The eggs if they weren’t cooked through were pretty close to and there wasn’t much sauciness to dip the bread. Maybe it’s a different style of baked eggs. The Vego bowl was good and the friend enoki was a standout. Very dog friendly.
