These guys did a great job with music at my birthday recently. As they say, they only needed a powerpoint! They provide all their own equipment which was awesome not having that as an extra cost. Literally everything was included. The DJ arrived early, well dressed, super friendly, set up his table and speakers and decks, then played a full 5-hour set for us all. He took requests from all my mates, which was hugely commendable, mixing them into the set. He brought a colourful dancefloor light and a microphone for the speeches too. It always makes me happy when a business makes everything included and easy. Additionally, before the party, they worked with me to completely customise a great playlist that suited me. I was able to build the playlist myself and create how I wanted the dance floor to sound, then the DJ was happy to mix all the music I suggested to them. This was a birthday I’ll never forget. Thanks so much to the team at Your Local DJ for helping with my wedding reception at Dunes, Palm Beach! From the moment I got in contact with them, they were SO accommodating. They walked me through everything I needed (musically) for my entire wedding reception. My fiancé and I were so impressed. From the canapés playlist, to the dinner playlist and the dance-floor! Such a good night. My fiancé (now wife) and I got to select all our favourite songs and artists for the DJ to play. We chose the music we love and the music we definitely DIDN’T want on the night, so that was great knowing there was no chance of any bad songs coming on. (I’m looking at you Nicki Minaj). From our very first contact with Sean we had a great experience. He was really informative and also pretty laid back in his approach. We booked him for a house warming and he visited in the weeks before the party, from a first meeting to discuss what we wanted and look at the house and show us some of his equipment, then the night before to setup all his equipment, lights and smoke machine play lists across multiple rooms to ensure a drama free night. The level of service was well beyond what was expected. We ended up with 3 different rooms of music from hard house, to rock and general easy going tunes. Sean really got our party pumping and was great to work with.
