Tried breakfast this morning (18/1/21) as it was included in our Q Station package. It was close to the moat unpleasant experience we have had. Glad we did not pay $30 each for the privelege. We experienced - A rickety table so each time we leant on it it rocked Once seated a 10 min wait just to get a menu 1st part of order arrived OK but was not really tasry - stewed fruit was mush and fresh fruit was flavourless Hot meal arrived but no cutlery - waited a few more minutes Ordered a coffee which only arrived after a re-order 15 mins later. A half-full mug of what was supposed to be flat white, and was as strong as anything. No offer of sugar or sweetener Hot meal was far from it - lukewarm at best, cold in places. Toast overcooked and sausages hard, hashies mushed ....... I could go on. Wife ordered a water that never arrived At no stage were we asked how the meal was SCORES - Service 0 Food 1 Total 1/10
Returned reluctantly on 19/1/21 as the breakfast was in our package and we thought "it can't be that bad all the time. Ate outside yesterday as the day was nice. Indoors today as it was cool and windy with some rain. On arrival we were asked to check in with the QR code - but had not been asked the day before. Seated and offered juice which was served quickly. From then on downhill - 10 mins later the waitress asked if we wanted anything else and was surprised to learn that we had been waiting to place an order. Hint - cutlery untouched on table. Cereal/fruit arrives OK. We eat. Finished and waiting .................. then another waitress asks if we want anything else. Hint - original cutlery untouched and used cereal bowls in front of us. Again surprise that we had not yet ordered our hot meal. Order placed and we nicely comment that yesterday the food was lukewarm at best, asking for hot food today. Food arrives ang guess what - it was lukewarn to cold and my wholegrain toast was sourdough white instead. Asked the waitress if we could have some HOT food and she was speechless, According to her the big round heating dishes were doing the job. Sorry - when the lids are left up more than down, then they do not keep food hot. She offered to microwave the meals and with no other option we said OK. 10 mins later the food returns. Warner on the plate edges and now colder in the middle. We walked out leaving our plates untouched. No approach or concern from the staff.
It is amazing that they can ask for $30/head for what is probably unsafe food standards, let alone use incompetent staff who do not...
