Collins Flat Beach is pretty much the epitome of a harbour beach. There’s a ten minute walk via a good path in from either side; done up as part of the Manly to Spit Bridge walk. Tanalilising glimpses of azure blue water and a small hundred meter stretch of golden sand give you a hint of what’s coming as you make your way down not-too-many uneven sandstone stairs and fibre-reinforced plastic walkways. Bush turkeys rustle in the undergrowth and black cockatoos make their haunting calls overhead. The water is cool, flat, debris free and crystal clear: I can easily see my toes. You’re basically swimming on the inside edge of North Head. On either side of the deep bay submerged rocks indicate next time we should bring snorkels and masks. Parking is best on the western side of the beach with a free car park at Skinner’s Reserve.

Good little beach hidden away near manly. Its calm and seemingly popular, getting quite full around mid day. Theres a boat guy who comes around giving out light refreshments and ice cream. Its really cool to say the least, and first time seeing it. I recommend this beach for kids as well since theres virtually no waves on a good day and overall its beautiful

This lovely hidden beach has the untouched look and feel about it and can become a romantic day or night if your lucky this is definitely one of my favourite places to go and relax bit of a ticky path down there not wheelchair accessible and the closest amenities are all the way back up the path to little manly but don't let that stop you check it out

Parking: 5/10, free but not many spaces near the beach. If no luck near the beach, would have to park on neighbouring streets which would be at least 15 min walk down an inclined road. Accessibility: there is an accessible parking space, however to access the beach, you have to walk along a short bush track downhill for about 3 minutes with stairs and uneven terrain. Amenities: no bathroom, bins or nearby shops. However sometimes a boat selling ice creams comes to the shore. Water: 9/10, amazing. If you don't like waves, this is the perfect place. Busyness: 8/10, even on hot weekends, not overbearingly crowded like Manly beach. Crowd: mostly teenagers and young adults. You can also see people jumping from manly jump rock which is always entertaining.

Overall, love this beach and...

Also known as Collins Beach. One of my No 1 beaches to visit in Manly by far. Only a 10 minute walk from Little Manly. It is part of the National Park so is surrounded by bush which makes it very beautiful. During Winter and Spring the waterfall is flowing and quite beautiful especially lately with all the rain. During low tide you can walk around to Store and Quarantine Beach #letsguide #sydneyharbour #collinsflatbeach...
