Collins Flat Beach is pretty much the epitome of a harbour beach. There’s a ten minute walk via a good path in from either side; done up as part of the Manly to Spit Bridge walk. Tanalilising glimpses of azure blue water and a small hundred meter stretch of golden sand give you a hint of what’s coming as you make your way down not-too-many uneven sandstone stairs and fibre-reinforced plastic walkways. Bush turkeys rustle in the undergrowth and black cockatoos make their haunting calls overhead. The water is cool, flat, debris free and crystal clear: I can easily see my toes. Read moreParking: 5/10, free but not many spaces near the beach. If no luck near the beach, would have to park on neighbouring streets which would be at least 15 min walk down an inclined road. Accessibility: there is an accessible parking space, however to access the beach, you have to walk along a short bush track downhill for about 3 minutes with stairs and uneven terrain. Amenities: no bathroom, bins or nearby shops. However sometimes a boat selling ice creams comes to the shore. Water: 9/10, amazing. If you don't like waves, this is the perfect place. Busyness: 8/10, even on hot weekends, not overbearingly crowded like Manly beach. Crowd: mostly teenagers and young adults. You can also see people jumping from manly jump rock which is always entertaining.

It is part of the National Park so is surrounded by bush which makes it very beautiful. During Winter and Spring the waterfall is flowing and quite beautiful especially lately with all the rain.
